Following today's announcement about the liquidation of Salford Red Devils we await news of any 'phoenix club' taking their place in next years' competitions.
This will be judged on its merits but precedent is that any such club will be considered a continuation of the previous club.
The omission of the NSW-England wheelchair match from our website is deliberate: the game was not played to official rules, so is not considered first-class.
The lack of recent internatiionals in the men's and women's game will though be rectified shortly! Watch this space :-)

Top ranked in London Skolars with 72 players in 2003, followed by Lancashire Lynx (71 in 2000), South Wales Scorpions (69 in 2012), with York and Salford Red Devils in joint 4th using 68 players in 2001 & 2025 respectively
@salfordreddevils.bsky.social have now used 68 players this season, which is a record for a club in the top flight.
It isn't an all-time record for the pro-ranks though, and in fact there are 3 teams who have used more.
London Skolars hold the record with 72 in their debut season in 2003.

As referenced, the 5,000 games includes a match previously omitted in error.
It's addition has an important impact extending Jim Sullivan's British RL appearance record (now 929) and goals (now 2,870).
This week marks a major milestone in RL history, as we will see the first team compete in its 5,000th match.

With his score today Herman Ese'ese equalled the record for tries in consecutive matches by a prop in the summer era, tying Tyler Dupree's record of 6 for Oldham in 2021.
The winter era is not easy to analyse at this stage, but this is likely to be an all-time record too.

Wigan and Leigh have tonight played out the first RL match ever to finish 1-0 in extra time.
It's only the 4th game in history to finish 1-0, and only the 2nd in the top flight.
The last 0-0 was Whitehaven-Workington, 28/12/1993.
Wigan were in the last top flight 0-0, V. Cas, 26 Jan 1974.
With his hat-trick on his return to @leedsrhinos.bsky.social, Ryan Hall moved to within 5 tries of Mick Sullivan's 19th spot on the all-time try scorers chart. He's now 27 clear of Josh Charnley, who could move into the top 25 in the next few weeks
