like i understand that you are about to be tweens and teenagers and its developmentally super appropriate for you to try and fit in with your peer group as much as possible and you are also in a school system that enforces conformity

but you can just do whatever you want and its fine

one thing i like to do to my 5th and 6th graders is be what they consider to be incredibly weird so they develop a tolerance for it
