For this year's, since it changed dates last-minute, I just loosely recorded my hourly doings of Feb 1st. But then I had a whole week to think about how I would draw each hour, soooo I think shower-thoughts kinda count as "pre-planning" too! (Also hi I love you I keep forgetting I have Bsky!)

Ooh hm, I wonder which stage you're referring to! Most of my 5-minute warmup sketches are either graphite or colored pencil. I'll do a graphite value study of our long pose, then use that as reference for the final, which I pencil > lightly erase > "ink" in colored pencil > finish in wc or gouache.
