I also have an annoying brain so I really appreciated that segue 😂 recently read a secondary world fantasy where someone was reading braille. Was it cool to see? Yes. Would it have been a lot of work to make up an alternate system? Probably. But threw me right out of the world!

The plot thickens. I reordered Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism and received the next 240 pages of The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair.

I ordered a book off Amazon (bad Tess, I know). I was pretty excited to read about feminism and socialism and stuff. But I opened the book and it’s a different book inside! Wtf just happened?

Today I learned that kangaroos have three vaginas and two uteri (and that the plural of uterus is uteri). I’m quite happy with my Friday.

I wrote a PhD on taxonomy and systematics and species delimitation and all that stuff, and this thread is brilliant

and of all things it was apparently the most read in our department!

Because my brain is kind of a dick, I have very detailed plans for several apocalypse scenarios. All of which are highly divorced from reality and its many constraints. Fun times all around.
