employment status update: i am!
starting 1-st of may i'll be working full time as a rust maintainer in @rustnl.bsky.social's maintainers team. a dream come true :)
i'll be continuing work on maintaining the rust compiler & related projects, but now full time & paid ^^'

id expect you can do virtio passthrough and that should to your guest userspace appear the same no? virtio being a different driver should really only impact kernel code
back when working at tauri I made ready-to-boot template VMs for exactly this. Can highly recommend UTM, but haven’t used USB on them

When I started working on UK energy in 2007, fossil fuels provided ~78% of electricity. Coal alone: 34%. Wind & solar: less than 2%.
Today: wind & solar 33%, fossil fuels 28%, coal 0%.

Yesterday was my last day at Deno. It's rare you get to work with so many highly skilled peers in one place, but I'll be now cheering from the sidelines.
Not sure yet what comes yet. I'm officially looking for a job now!
