It’s anti-transition football. Night and day from how we’ve played for the last 10 years.

All very well Starmer saying we are fed up with energy prices fluctuating on the whims of despots - perhaps a solution is to develop our own renewable capacity? We aren’t moving quickly enough to secure ourselves. Take the example of Uzbekistan to see what is possible

Tough opponent but not to have a single shot on goal is just simply PATHETIC.
I’m more unsure about the prospect of getting points against PSG
I noticed that as well. Can’t imagine any of the players or Klopp from the previous eras celebrating like that against after moving on from LFC. Almost as disgraceful as the performance yesterday.
Truly pathetic
April Fool’s
Fake news
Chuckled at this
What is Slabhead complaining about there? A clear as they get!
Barcola is likely to be injured
Impressively bad. It’s bafflingly how they’re managing it time and time again.
Does Irelakd really have a defense crisis?
This is unacceptable. Something has to change. We can’t carry on with this. #LFC
Another corner. Unbelievable
Robbo is getting on but any full back would’ve struggled playing with Gakpo’s drop off in form ahead of them this season.
Essentially, I’m not advocating for less Kerkez, but a bit more use of the squad down the left hand side to make us more unpredictable. Predictability in our play has been the most frustrating thing about this season.
I think he’s been our best defender too. But it’s not in his nature to play a bit more conservatively. He struggled majorly at the beginning of the season, understandably due to new club, teammates, etc., but also as it seemed he was being asked to play in a way that didn’t suit his game.
Hope so, but too many performances like Wolves on Tuesday makes it far from a done deal. The play from the wings that day was extremely worrying.
I’m just concerned that having Rio, whose still a bit lightweight tbh and not going to track back, and Kerkez, who’s tenacious and great at bursting forward, on the same side will create a defensive vulnerability. Robbo’s more disciplined and experienced, and can play the sitting FB role better imo.
Totally agree there, but I think he should at least be getting 20 mins at the end of most games now, and starting a few as well where we feel they have a weakness at right back. Long term is important, but Champions League is also vital for the long term health of the club.
I get your point about Kerkez’s overlapping runs potential to help a winger but sometimes when you have someone with Rio’s ability to beat the man you just need to get the ball to him asap and let him attract 2-3 players and do his thing, which then creates space elsewhere.
… been a squad player and is less vocal than Robbo. I’m thinking short term here. Gakpo just can’t carry on as he is, and Rio is the only real option on the left with potential. Getting the best out of him in the next 5-10 games will be important and just wondering aloud the best way to do this.
This true and not saying they won’t be good together. Robbo has mich more experience, is a more senior voice in the team, and knows a lot more about what it takes to have a successful fullback - winger relationship than Kerkez, who has needed a fair bit of coaching himself this season, and Jones…
Agree Kerkez has been brilliant recently. Not sure he would’ve been able to coach Rio through the beginning of that game when he was getting roughed up a bit. Robbo was im his ear encouraging him all game. Rio has to get more game time and Robbo is arguably better suited to supporting him.
Credit where due. Excellent aecond half. Robbo and Rio down the left making a real case for more starts. Everyone else decent as well. On we march #YNWA
What a ball by our left back
What a strike from Robbo
Stick him up top, get Gakpo off and put Frimpong on the right.
Another first half devoid of goals and intensity. Rio the only one looking up for the fight in the front 3. Gakpo and Salah just pathetic. Sad to see.
Big second half needed
