I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.

Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

my solution has been to get really busy with volunteer/mutual aid type stuff and it really does help the despair. I recommend it! unfortunately I was already bad at remembering to ever see friends and now I’m worse at that than ever before!

My state has the highest utilization of Medicaid in the country. At my clinic 60% of our patients have Medicaid. We’re soooo fucked.

Much like at my last job, where suddenly tons of people wrote in with suicidal ideation after the election, we immediately started getting people writing in wanting to die rather than have their healthcare taken away and die slowly. Soooooo cool.

So, we live in hell. At least I have the day off, I guess.

this is great but can we just say they’re permitting 12 month stockpiles of estrogen & progesterone? It doesn’t cover testosterone so it’s not all HRT, just feminizing HRT. My therapist had to talk me out of starting a new mutual aid project bc APPARENTLY my day job is “really hard” and “so important” so actually the best thing I can do as a side project is “self care” which somehow does not feel adequate.
