One Easter my parents put a cassingle of REM’s Stand in my Easter basket. I wore that tape out. In the Walkman non-stop. Every time I rode in the car. I couldn’t get enough.

Then I took it on a flight. The tape fell out, and we deplaned. It was gone forever.

My parents rejoiced. I was crushed.

I agree with El-Sayed’s politics, but I don’t know if I agree he is running a strong campaign. He hasn’t won any elections, nor come close to winning any elections. I worry that we end up with Stevens if he had a strong showing and that would be a bummer.

There are so many Strip Law bits that will live in my brain now. Watch Strip Law on Netflix, we need season two of this twisted nonsense.

To be fair, it’s one of the more fun maintenance activities for me. Have I noticed any difference from doing the updates? No. Will I keep doing them? yes. The next one will definitely make a noticeable difference

The set up is a little annoying but now that’s it for the shifting is absolutely fantastic with electronic shifting. Especially in races being able to shift quicker and under load gives an advantage. Friction shifters are nice but they can’t say I don’t love electronic shifting.

Finally getting my road bike ready for the season, as the first nice day is here. Cleaned out the old sealant, added new sealant, lubed chain, charged batteries, updated shifter and derailleur firmware.

On the other end of the spectrum is my track bike: pump the tires, and it’s ready to ride.
