I get so annoyed with the "Gosh! That's illegal! You should sue!" response spoken by people with no clue as to how unrealistic that is.
That's signing someone up to months or years of work, a huge financial burden to hire solicitors, and very little probability of working.
But my goodness have people been trained from a very early age to believe that's the "right" path to take.
You now have a lot of experience of things it's really bad at, though. So that's a plus?
The only thing we can truly rely on is our own power as workers and comrades. That power is foundational for any change or redress we might want to achieve.
We are more likely to win by collective action than through the legal system and it's likely to be quicker.
This is why I tell people over and over not to put their faith in the legal system.
The laws aren't written by us or for us, the systems of redress are convoluted and not built for us, and there's no link between what's morally right and the outcome of those systems.

The worst part is it's programming related and I normally LOVE programming, but web frameworks suck all the joy out of programming.
Something that takes the workers into account and doesn't just repost company language directly. I love when reporters contest what companies are saying and bring in additional context.
There are times when the projects I work on throw up roadblocks and I'm able to take a moment, breath, and figure out a way around or through them.
Today is not one of those days. Hit a roadblock and my brain went into "fuck this, I'm done" mode. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
