Why is she ignoring the fact that u der her rules she probably wouldn't be here to concoct them?

Right. Found, used but away the screw box. Emptied & cleaned kitchen drawer. Still have to put back all the stuff I shifted to find things I was looking for. There's just one small container of "things I don't know what to do with but I may need one day possibly"
I know I should sort it properly & chuck stuff out but that requires more mental processing than I currently have available
While I was looking for cable ties I got irritated at the state of "that" kitchen drawer & took everything out.
I now have a huge pile of stuff on the kitchen side & no idea what to do with it beyond stuffing it back in the drawer where it likely won't fit
I'm tired & grumpy. I have a headache & I need a second pair of hands to finish the garden job I'm doing.
I think first I'll get a cup of tea & a couple of Ibuprofen
Found it! I just needed to look properly. The main problem was that the tub was on its side so I couldn't see the square box with a green lid that was in my mental image
I do. It's a transparent plastic container about 20cm square with a green lid
I'm now stuck because I can't find Michael's (well, ours really) huge tub full of screws to firmly attach the post into the postholder. I know where it usually is. It's not there. Don't even know when we last used it.
Sometimes there are jobs to do that you want to do but are prevented from doing by one small thing.
At the weekend I managed to hammer (well, mallet) a postholder into the garden to hold up the trellis for my clematis. The old post rotted & fell down last winter
"sowed" I know I actually typed that because I started to type "sewed"
I showed lots of chives a week or so back since mine inexplicably died off over winter & I haven't found any of those growing pots in supermarkets. Maybe theirs all died too
Isn't that like conferences where questions seem to be asked mostly so the person asking a question can feel important because they've asked a question? They often seem to be about something already addressed
It's a pity we don't have subtitles for radio. Especially phone-ins
This is good in that it, quite rightly, shows teenage boys in a good light but really, he shouldn't have had to do this. The driver should be able to make allowances for issues like this. It just demonstrates just how much in thrall we are to the capitalist machine. No exceptions or leeway
It all seems like a gross over-reaction. Especially considering what Johnson got away with
Just turned on James O'Brien & he's talking about something "that happened this morning"
I don't know what happened this morning.
Something about Mandelson I think
With the "banning phones" idea the devil, as ever, will be in the details. One problem these days is inflexibility wrt special cases. The idea that "if you let one kid do something, they'll all want to"
True. But then you explain that exceptions are not always favoutitism
Good morning Bluesky
I've found in the past plants from supermarkets Asda/Aldi/HB are good if you get them as soon as they are delivered. Morrisons used to be great but they seem to have changed suppliers
Cheap plants from Home Bargains. ๐
I'm actually quite pathetically pleased with myself. Lots still to do but every little helps
A sage green flower pot containing violas in various shades of with a pink saxifrage
Right, done & hung out a wash load, swapped the shower curtain for the clean one, scrubbed the plastic shower mat, sorted out the solar lights (found some unused ones in the cupboard under the stairs) & replanted the doorstep flower pots.
I'm going to do the washing up then watc something on TV
Too soon to tell. Odd dreams & woken with a headache so not brilliant so far. You?
Good morning Bluesky
Oh god yes. I'm narrating the Bury score into the ether sometimes. They're on the verge of a possible 2nd promotion.
That's all I've done. Socks, underwear & the drawer with t-shirts. I'm keeping my/his favourites to wear. I've passed his almost new coat on to our nephew and whisky to his sister.
I've only just thrown away the cereals & stuff I bought just for him. I have 2 tubs of cheese footballs sent by friends
I spent ages last autumn sitting on the doorstep pulling the covers off. I have a tin full of seeds to pass on
We've got a patch growing in the tiny gaps in the pavement at the front of the house. Both the neighbour & I leave them strictly alone. We weed around them. Also muscari
He really was my other half. The balance. Everything now is off-kilter
