Yes!! In fact, last summer I wrote/directed a micro budget feature that feautured a bunch of local Gen Z students in cast/crew. It was a teaching-forward project & the Gen Zers were ALL IN on all of it!! They kicked butt & bunch if ‘em are now or soon to be studying film, including my own daughter 🎬
Over the past 2 years, I’ve noticed the opposite with my NU students. They are watching, talking about & loving films from now & from decades ago. It’s been surprising how knowledgeable & interested they are, as opposed to the previous generation who were mostly into reality TV & streamed shows 🤔
