Like, even when I know why their empathy is the way it is, I still knows that Lucifer is definitely the less empathetic one between them just from ep 5 alone

That is probably because of how disappointed he was with them to be honest, and how long he had spent doing that

He's basically Charlie if she had watched the Hotel failed in front of her and has spent the last decades or centuries wallowing in that failure

She'd pretty apathetic about it too
