I went with my oldest and she insisted we buy merch for the rest of the family. It was a very good call.
Last last thing. Bandcamp has a great feature that lets you follow labels. Find bands you like -> Find their labels -> Follow them.
Sorry about the morning train of though. Music connections is one of the things I think I could do the 48 hour fillibuster on
Basically if you like an artist, find the non corp label that released them and often your tastes will line up with the folks running that label. This is how I ended up with Every album on Warp in the 90s and Kranky in the 2000s. Not all of them were great but all of them were connected.
There are also a few labels that I will listen to anything they put out. This is also a great way to find connections. Labels are OG currators
relapserecords.bandcamp.com -> Metal
moonshinerecordings.bandcamp.com -> dub
pressurerecords.bandcamp.com -> Whatever Kevin Martin wants to do
Thinking more about this question.
1. thequietus.com -> best of and lists from artists I admire
2. Bandcamp.com -> New and Notable / genre list (best of X for the month)
Neither of these are perfect, but it gets a lot of currated music in front of me that I can find strands to pick at.

It would be cooler if I had three striped giant ass parachutes!!
But yeah we started a thing up over there last fall! It's been super fun.
Fuck that was cool
I saw Low open for Soul Coughing and it was pretty life changing.
Oh man I had no clue about the abuse stuff. just saw the headline. NUKING THIS MOTHERFUCKER FROM ORBIT
A woman with short red hair stands in front of a towering creature among mounds of twisting tubes and pipes. They are in combat, the creature swinging its many limbs and tentacles at the woman who swings a blade upon a long rope in wide arcs, leaving behind slash-shaped trails, which repel weapons in sparks, and sever tentacles in bloody spray. The creature is like that of a saintly statue underlain with biomechanical parasitism.
In combat. A duel in the saprophyte hatchery, once a burial moon for the saints of the See, long past.

De Plater got me hooked on these and I ended up buying the entire back catalogue. Its an incredible magazine for tabletop nerds.
They're so good!

I really need to be done attributing competence to these fucking morons.
Pulse Demon (remastered)
An illustration of a figure in long robes, stiff pleated collar, studded half cape, and a cuirass emblazoned with eyes. Their robes are wrapped in medallions of boasted achievements. Over his face is a mask that matches the breastplate. He lift a tome in performance. The figure is framed in cascading text, symbols, and graphics - smeared and distorted as if run repeatedly through a broken printer.
