SEPTA route 10 trolley traveling above ground in west Philly
Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority SEPTA will receive funding to analyze the potential for transit-oriented development along a four-mile corridor served by the Route 10 trolley in support of its Trolley Modernization program, a comprehensive, long-term infrastructure and planning initiative that will make its service fully accessible, more reliable and better connected with other service modes. The plan will also recommend how SEPTA can partner with public and private stakeholders to facilitate equitable housing and commercial development and identify multimodal connections that will make stations along this portion of the corridor an integral part of the West Philadelphia community.
SEPTA just won $460K from the FTA to plan transit-oriented development along the Route 10 trolley.
The funding will help SEPTA identify affordable housing & development opportunities, plus strategize ways to increase ridership & connectivity in West Philly.
