seeing a lot of speculation on what trump's real goal for this is and i think it's important to remember that he's incredibly dumb, cruel to his core, is incapable of long term planning, and has little to no impulse control

The average public school in the U.S. has 500 students. ICE is currently detaining over 7 schools' worth of children, many of whom are being held in inhumane conditions.
Children do not belong in government detention.
ICE is tear-gassing, kidnapping, and jailing toddlers. It cannot be reformed. Everyone responsible for this must be removed from positions of power and ICE must be abolished.

This is a major breakdown in basic order, unlike what they’ve done before. They are lowering the floor for how bad things can get. This will ripple out across the whole nation if it isn’t stopped.
