Wut? Pirates coverage just came to an abrupt halt.

Pittsburgh Pirates led top prospects Konnor Griffin and Termarr Johnson unleash some offense and plate 4 runs in the 7th inning. Griffin showed off his speed tool going first to third in the inning.

Bubba Chandler made his spring debut today going 1 inning. Fastball was 95+ but didn't have his best control on the day. Looking forward to watching his arsenal throughout spring training.

The Minnesota Twins have got excellent work from all of their pitchers today keeping the Pirates mostly off the baseballs.

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Celeb Ferguson pitched two scoreless innings but struggled a bit with control of the fastball (92-93mph) up in the zone.

Minnesota Twins David Festa and Pittsburgh Pirates Mitch Keller pitch quickly through two innings. Keller with the help of two easy double plays. Nice debuts for both pitchers.

Today we will be watching the Minnesota Twins vs the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pitching matchup for the teams are David Festa (Twins) vs Mitch Keller (Pirates)

Definitely needs to cut the swing and miss but an .841 ops in AAA and he will be a minor league free agent next year so this could be a now or never chance at least with the Pirates. With options like Josh Palacios and Bae a big spring could leap frog him up the depth chart.

4 - Home Run - Matt Gorski stole the show today. The swing is a little unorthodox but there is a lot of power in that swing. The second homer (grand slam) was a missile deep left. Could he compete for at bats in right field in 2025?

3 - Triple - A healthy debut from Endy Rodriguez and Henry Davis. Both former top 100 prospects had good at bats and Henry showed an electric arm throwing out one of the fastest prospects in all of baseball.

2 - Double - DJ Stewert makes a solid first impression with a double and a homer plus a nice catch in RF. Could be battling of the final bench spot with the Pirates.

1 - Single - Liked the one inning performances of Orioles Brian Baker and Pirates Mike Burrows. Quick innings, solid work.

Kyle Nicolas is wild in his first spring training outting of the year. Nicolas has back end stuff but must throw strikes or will end up starting the year back in Indianapolis

Henry Davis showing off his arm gets one of the fastest baserunners in baseball Enrique Banfield stealing.

Carmen Mlodzinski continues his wild second inning with a wild pitch which scores a run. 31 pitches in my guess is he is on a 40 pitch count.

Carmen Mlodzinski looked solid in his first inning of work but a little bit wild with his pitches in his second inning. Kind of suprised he went out for a second inning.

Orioles Pitcher "Big Al" Suarez struggled to find the plate with his offspeed stuff. Pirates batters laid off those pitches and hit the fastball hard in the 1st inning. Pirates plate two on a DJ Stewert double.

The NCAA needs to reduce the number of bowl games. As a Pitt grad I don't want to see Pitt vs Toledo in the Nobody Cares Bowl. I also am watching Pitts 5th string qb because the NCAA opens the transfer portal during bowl season which they need to fix. Bad football all around

There has been a lot of trades this offseason in baseball and many of the deals in my opinion have been extremely lopsided in favor of one side. Sometimes towards the mlb player and sometimes toward the prospect package. Not alot of deals that I feel are good for both teams.

The Reds could have grabbed a defensive minded catcher in free agency to pair with Tyler Stephenson instead of giving up something of quality for him. Do you think Stephensons going to play some first again?
