That should be a Powerpuff Girls villain.
"Lead paint. Alas. But still looks pretty, right?"
Remember when you once hosted a show that brought together an entire community of these people, many of whom have remained friends? You did that. That was you.
When Sam put on the ring, I literally dropped the book and realized just how invested I'd become.
Patlabor: Early Days - The Complete OVA Series is a mech classic as it shows things in a slightly more real way.
The mechs have weight and the pilots do their best, whether it's good enough or not.
Still an amazing watch.

I subjectively avoid anyone who claims the ability to be objective.
You can dodge a wrench, but not...
I mean, the original book and film were based on ancient mythology. Is your version just different enough you can file the serial off?
On The File Room this week we discuss “Travelers”, in which The X-Files goes back to the McCarthy era for a story of body horror and paranoia.

Yeah, caught it a couple weeks ago. Wonderful staging.

It's a bummer they weren't able to work things out with Hilary Swank, just to see what they'd do with her film story wise.
I always whacked before mowing, so the mower would just mulch that up.
Cop Out's a fun movie.
Don't disagree with you on that one at all. 😁
I don't think there's ever an end to find something creatively new to do with old IP, but it sure doesn't help when the business side keeps trying to choke out and withhold profit and ownership from those on the creative side of the operation.
Mostly, I just want good movies. A tired film is a tired film, and an inventive film is an inventive film, regardless of IP status. But I do also get the critique of creators unable to sell their work because the studios don't want to share profit outside what they already own and control.
We may have our clashes on how we read things, but you're right, you should never be made to feel like you arbitrarily have to support something that doesn't interest you. I'm pro-remakes and sequels. That doesn't mean I like and support them all.
