He's recovering from food poisoning today, which is the reason it's going to be Thursday instead of Wednesday.

I got the first coat of varnish on the boat post-repair, so that's going. Four more coats to go. If I do two a day over the next two days, it'll be good for him to take it out on Thursday.

It was a good weekend but unfortunately it is now Sunday night and I am not ready for this week to start and ugh.

But I wrote the newsletter article I have to have for tomorrow so at least that's done.

I am watching entirely too many short dramas as I am struggling to find the motivation to continue unpacking and wow, the acting in this one is ...I mean I don't expect great things but.

I wish I knew, but after it made me sick twice (out of the two times I have had it), I gave up. It's obviously not something everyone runs into and I wish it didn't dislike me!

I do not dislike Uncle Val's but it very much dislikes me.

I am excited at the thought of being able to do my own small batch stuff though.

Also unpacked at least another box and a half. We will not talk about how many more there are to go.

I'm not okay with any of what is happening in the world right now. I'm just trying to focus on what I can control because otherwise I will spiral.

I will say it took my Samsung fridge 7 years to develop its major issues. I hope yours does not.

I was so mad about it because I was SO EXCITED when I got it, it was my first grown up fridge.

In at least one case known on the Discord, an oven in 2023 did try to light the house on fire. And getting the gas leak addressed was a mess and a half.

My hatred is based on the fridge that would just completely ice up on the circulation fan with no external warning.

Also has no overflow valve and it's about 22" deep when filled to the top. (It's in a wet room.)

This house got picked in part because we knew we could take what was the primary closet and convert it into an amazing tub room.

The shower is also like 5 foot by 6 foot for the Western shower, with a 14" rain shower head (plus two others).

I can lay down flat in it. The short dimension is almost 4 feet.

We love it.

A dark room with dim lighting on dark gray walls. There is a tile floor and a showerhead rather low on the wall. Half the room is dominated by a large rectangular wooden tub. It evokes a Japanese bathing room.

You would appreciate the tub we have put in in this house.
