If you backgrounded dynoxide in an npm script, killing the dev server left it running. 0.9.8 fixes three root causes so the process actually dies when it should.

The fun thing about doing a podcast with a pro like Lenny is that his team can slice the thing up into TikTok-style shorts after the fact, here's 48 seconds of me talking about the cognitive cost of agentic engineering
Announcing my new #opensource project - an #AWS DynamoDB compatible engine. Perfect for local dev and CI tests.
Delighted to get my Dynoxide release out... a good few hours later than I'd hoped for - frustrating battle with NPM OIDC. Turned out I basically just needed to use node 24 in my GH workflow 🫠
I've open sourced a DynamoDB engine in Rust, backed by SQLite. ~3 MB, 15ms startup, 526 conformance tests against real DynamoDB. No JVM, no Docker. More at dynoxide.dev
It started as infrastructure for Nubo, a native DynamoDB client we're building at Si Novi - nubo.sinovi.uk

My son wanted a YouTube channel. I wanted to make sure I wasn't the bottleneck. Here's how I automated the entire weekly workflow with Python, the FPL API, Whisper, FFmpeg, and the YouTube Data API.

Basically I've automated the tedious parts so he can focus on the fun bit (being wrong about football results 😆).
My son has run a Premier League predictions YouTube channel all season (youtube.com/@BensPLPredi...). Proud he's stuck with it. The weekly keynote/iMovie/upload grind was becoming my problem though.
Spent a few hours with Claude Code today to automate some of it. Writing up a blog as I speak...
Congratulations Jay!

We welcomed Luna into our family earlier this year. Easily one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Such a good doggo. #dogs
I had a Last.fm widget on my site in 2010. Fifteen years later, I brought it back as an Eleventy WebC component with SSR, live polling, and localStorage caching.

While upgrading to 11ty 3.0 one of the best upgrades was using the Eleventy Transform version of @11ty/eleventy-img (github.com/11ty/elevent...)
Enabling us to automatically transform all <img /> tags to use modern formats eg. webp and output various sizes - massive win 👍
We’ve refreshed our website! 🎉
It’s been great to work with @11ty.dev and WebC to create a clean, fast, and future-ready design.
Nice to have a site that better reflects us and provides a space to showcase our work.
Take a look: sinovi.uk – I’d love your feedback!

(Also…. we rather sheepishly joined Bluesky the other day 🙌, would be great if you’d give @sinovi.uk a follow ❤️ thx)
We’re really excited about Aurora DSQL - feels like a massive win for Serverless.
Here, @jamesgalley.bsky.social runs through what we’ve learnt so far from today’s announcement.

Welcome to Bluesky :)
A lively beach scene featuring a group of people gathered on the sand, some sitting and chatting. In the background, a pub named "Ty Coch Inn" is visible. A woman in a pink dress is interacting with others, while a man in sunglasses
Coastal landscape featuring calm waters, rolling hills, and distant boats. The scene is enhanced by a soft, pastel sky at dusk, with lush greenery in the foreground.

Squeezed out the last drops of Summer with a beautiful long weekend of camping in Nfyn 🏴.
What’s not to love about a pub on the beach?
After a little while away from socials, it’s great to come back and see how much this place is absolutely thriving.
Several starter packs followed, profile updated. Let’s go again.
Cheers for this 👍
Enjoyed the talk - could you share the link to the example repo? I was too slow reaching for my phone to grab a photo
