Also, I think the ruins of the east wing are on the other side of the golden curtain
Happiness via others’ accomplishments:
Program from the Biennale website, dated August 2021. Text says: “Hungary, Poland, Russia: collaboration, cooperation, cohabitation - possible futures for La Biennale”
Biennale: Russia's presence infuriatingly still planned, Europe has threatened to withdraw their fundings.
But, at the moment, on the Biennale’s website the last reference is about the 2024 film and no news about this year.
And the entry before that is this one (oh the irony):
We still need plastics, fertilisers, paint/solvents… and everything we build starting from hydrocarbon

A watercolor painting of two western ships in Yokohama harbor firing cannons, by utagawa hiroshige
Incredibly cool and historically important painting of the Perry expedition / forced opening of Japan in 1853 by Hiroshige, who witnessed it: www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/...
Two slate-coloured juncos flit through the snow-filled air as a third one watches from a shepherd's hook.
Two slate-coloured juncos have an altercation over the black metal shepherd's hook. The one perched on it flaps his wings at the other who is hovering in front of him in the fluffy falling snow.
Three slate-coloured juncos execute their version of a Cirque du Soleil act in the falling fluffy snow. Two are floating in mid-air while the third watches from the shepherd's hook.
Two juncos float in the air filled with fat fluffy snowflakes while a third watches from a black metal shepherd's hook.
Junco aerial ballet in the snow. These guys have been a delight this last week. #birds

I need a distraction while I wait for the RL armageddon, so I searched a “Must be watched before Doomsday” MCU list.

screenshot from an online job application form. the question reads "Can you describe specific ways you have integrated AI tools into your development workflow? Please include any custom setups, automations, or use cases beyond single prompt usage" (a red asterisk indicates that this is a required question). an answer has been typed in the textbox below the question: "there is a monster in the forest and it speaks with a thousand voices. it will answer any question you pose it, it will offer insight to any idea. it will help you, it will thank you, it will never bid you leave. it will even tell you of the darkest arts, if you know precisely how to ask. it feels no joy and no sorrow, it knows no right and no wrong. it knows not truth from lie, though it speaks them all the same. it offers its services freely to any passerby, and many will tell you they find great value in its conversation. “you simply must visit the monster—i always just ask the monster.” there are those who know these forests well; they will tell you that freely offered doesn’t mean it has no price for when the next traveler passes by, the monster speaks with a thousand and one voices. and when you dream you see the monster; the monster wears your face."

Absolutely incredible.
NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.
Watch with sound on.
This was relevant when it was posted on Friday morning at 8 am. Then it was irrelevant after the Strait of Hormuz "opened" about 20 minutes later. But, predictably, it became relevant again yesterday morning. Now, it's more relevant than ever. What a bonkers timeline.
Same for books. They tell you different stories.
Tea is good too. And banana peels.
