Aah the joys. People who pick arguments by quoting instead of just replying and demand personal info get blocked. ESP when they read all sorts into one short reply. 😂 Don’t be an arsehole folks.

I believe that in order to take some small step forward, the word “bird” should be replaced with “saur” in all common names. Mockingsaur. Secretarysaur. Red-winged blacksaur.

OpenAI: We’re burning money like the Joker. A miracle needs to happen for us to turn a profit

Microsoft: Please please use our AI systems, we’re teetering on the edge here

Meme. Painting of a medieval scribe writing at a desk. Or scribing, I guess. He has a super-fancy desk with two levels: the upper one, on a swivel, is a book rest for the manuscript he's copying. The lower one is the one he's working at, & it has little holders for ink, pens, etc. He's wearing a peach-colored robe that is probably ink-stained. He is sitting in a big chair, and has book stewn all around. There is a open chest behind him full of books and papers. He's clearly either super-busy, or super-messy.

There is a large fireplace across the room from him, but the fire has gone out. He cannot easily roast marshmallows.

Behind him is something that is *probably* a blue curtain, but that also looks like a very large person, dressed in blue, with their fat hands clasped in front of them. This is, I believe, his evil fairy guardian, sent to ensure that he is using ALL the worst scribal practices.

"What about Merovingian chancery?" it suggests slyly.

Meme text reads:
"Dear eels..."

In 1392 Richard II eliminated tariffs on eel imports, & asked foreign merchants to bring eels "from over sea, where they are abundant, to London where they are dear."

He knew that higher tariffs meant getting less of what you want. Oh, the lessons that eel history can teach us...
