The thing is with a sole owner, lawyers are expensive and internet laws are long. Development will be slow and can they handle the bandwidth and a large userbase? It might seem ok, but could be a big problem if it becomes well known. I've seen many a company fold due to this. But I hope it survives.

Theres, a load popped from, Stoat, Root, and many more. Personally, whatever app you choose will eventually have issues, especially with the cover of age verification. This solves nothing as an adult can easy verify an account for their kids or kids circumventing these restrictions. Its pointless.

Same. I did some digging. It may reach further than just selling data/images/posts or whatever. But the US Government wanting everyone's info for their "National Security." More likely for immigration.

Back in the late 80s and moving away from Bullitin Boards, we adopted IRC (Internet Relay Chat). Around 1995 mIRC came along which was the Discord of the time, and I still use it today.

The original image is of Virgil from the movie The Core that I remade using Blender as my original is now outdated. Then brought it into Photoshop and used a Threshold adjustment. It's a simple effect to give that old drawn look. Or some call a Brutalist/Bruralism style. But I've always been a fan of this style.
