If you think this can’t happen, remember that of the 125,000 Japanese Americans who were interned during WWII for years without charge or trial, two-thirds were U.S. citizens. Including me.

"This is our moral moment..." Cory Booker continues to be an inspiration today. It's not enough to stay silent as we watch the tyranny around us and wait for someone else to stand up and fight it. Use your power and never back down!

In case you want some sweet news today.

I’m volunteering at the book fair at my kid’s school, and discovered Dav Pilkey paid for the whole thing.

For the entire school.

Every kid pre-k through fifth grade (the whole school) goes home with two free books.

Say these words out loud:

“I was wrong. I’m sorry. What can I do to make amends?”

It’s not that hard. We all fuck up sometimes.

Normalize apologies.

Duolingo lessons make me wonder if I should ask people about their waitress sister or actor brother. The chancellor of Germany should also be brought up more frequently. #duolingo #amidoingthisright #alwayslearning

Accomplishment today: I scanned and logged every automotive service receipt that was stuffed into a wayward folder. Turns out, I did get that transmission fluid exchanged two years ago… #littlevictories #carcare #winning

When you’re feeling hopeless, like there’s no way to fight back against tyranny, try volunteering. Small acts of kindness are ripples in a pond, but someone has to be the drop that starts them. #volunteer #kindness #riseup

Yup! Keep the tools, but donate the supplies is my motto. I’ve got crochet hooks, but no yarn. Glass bead making mandrels, but no glass. Such is the life. 😅

Don’t dread, do. For me, that means 30 min of exercise today. What can you do for yourself today to push away the dread?
