roman-era egyptian tomb, I should've said. though the egpytians were clearly influenced quite a bit by roman culture if they're taking excerpts of the iliad with them to the afterlife.
It's a roman tomb, this body dates over 1000 years after the time when the Trojan war may have happened.
It actually probably goes further than that. He was instrumental to the budget-maxing arms race that is still destroying the entire industry today.
It really can't be understated just how much damage Jim Ryan did to the Playstation brand. Dude was an absolute wrecking ball, destroying every last good thing about Sony in favor of a live service future that never panned out.
this is the type of shit that was coming out of the microwave in steins gate
“GlobalComix’s AI translation copilot delivers 85–90% cost savings compared to industry-standard manual translation.”
These AI tools will always rely on underpaid freelancers doing three jobs for a fraction of the wage of one. They’re merely a justification for not paying people.
it's a great handheld, really enjoyable to use. sad to see smaller hardware companies get so shafted by the shortages.
I really got in on this one at the right time, huh. there's already been two price increases and a spec downgrade since I ordered my thor
I blame the restaurant. Surely Nikaido's gyoza would fix me.
The last time I read Dorohedoro, I hunted down the one restaurant within delivery distance from me that sold gyoza. Got some steamed buns of some variety and goyza, and... it was only okay.

Wow. The music in the Sega CD port of "Eye of the Beholder" is NOT what I expected. 💿🔊🎵

(also invest in sensible construction projects and infrastructure that serve useful functions instead of silly vanity projects, but nobody wants to hear that)
In the late '10s, money was coming back into Detroit so we decided to build a new City's Tallest Skyscraper. Then covid hit, everyone panicked, they shaved some floors off the top so it would no longer be the tallest, and the economy recovered. The lesson: don't anger the sky gods with your hubris.
“I’m not planning to get revenge. But if my fist ends up in the immediate vicinity of their faces, well, shit happens.”
“Ah, so this is what it feels like to want to crawl into a hole and die.”

Late to the party, but since it’s #PortfolioDay — I’m Molly Lee, and for ten years I’ve enjoyed turning well-written Japanese into equally well-written English. My dream is to one day quit freelancing in favor of an in-house position! verdelish.jp/portfolio
LARP is gen x slang. sorry, you're old now
"Crimson Desert is the type of game people want and Marathon is the opposite of that," as if there is just one group of people who want games, and all game developers must cater to this hivemind or be deemed a failure.
I guess I've just become too cynical after never enjoying a movie/TV adaptation from a video game to understand why anyone would be excited for this.
Lots of people doing AI stuff rent datacenter compute by the hour for small-scale projects. Like if they're fine tuning a model or something of the sort, they can pay a few hundred bucks for 100 hours of compute (give or take, obviously).
one day of this and i’d start talking like barrett in ff7
[slamming mug on bar, yelling] estonia's right
The most likely culprit whenever I see random irrecoverable black screens is the power. A poor cable connection somewhere, or something in the PSU itself failing, etc.
I have wanted to comm Vertigris for a very long time. For years it felt like something impossible. My persistence finally paid off and in the end I got an absolutely breathtaking piece
A truly beautiful view

Viral photo from some years back of a man nonchalantly mowing his yard with a tornado on the horizon .
How it feels doing literally any task right now.
