That must be the power of God! No way would I feel in a ‘good mood’ in that condition!
Surely this is a solved problem? Anyone aware of a way to deal with snow on solar panels?
Interesting. Need to read this.
And they will not get any reciprocity from Trump or his idiotic selection of Sec’s of State. But Britain post-Brexit is desperate to get ‘on side’ with the USA, expecting trade deals. Even if these happened, many would be a race to the bottom (esp. agriculture).
‘I consider my remarks about President Trump as ill-judged and wrong.’
It turns out Lord Mandelson could sink even lower
I think this was my best this year. Just caught it walking down a hill towards Burrator (iPhone)
Whenever I manage a great photo, it is always luck!
I managed to get all these Belties to face west for my shot.
Looks other-worldly in that light. Great shot!
Strong and ‘hard’ are not the same, are they. The strong women in my family are resilient, determined, kind, caring. Not like the male stereotype of ‘strong’ which is the hard man. Better to read about women being strong in the way we need more men to be I think. Smart, resilient, good people

But it does make me think about all those people who sacrifice family time for others - maybe you? I hope you have the best Christmas you can in the circumstances, and can make up for it later. Society would not function without you.
My eldest daughter is working 12 hour shifts right over Christmas in a centre which helps women make a new start. I’m very proud of her, but at the same time sad that she misses out on time with her siblings, who rarely see each other these days.
Beautiful creatures.

I don’t miss the drive! Must have spent days in traffic over 20 years. But arriving was lovely.
Hi Fiona, @heejungchung.bsky.social wrote a book about this
Guinness is a stout
Nice design. Great within enclosed grounds, or close to busy 24/7 buildings (like hospitals).
Anywhere else, it will get vandalised unfortunately.
Do you mean that people should be able to criticise (hopefully constructively) even if it makes some others “uncomfortable”? If so, agreed, that is vital to work through problems. So many people are scared to speak up, for fear of upsetting others’ sensitivities. That is not helpful.
Wow. Here is one to brighten up your morning. The first images of the restored interior of Notre Dame cathedral. Breathtaking. In just five years France did it
Think I’ll just block evangelicals.
It’s lovely. Milk. Can’t beat it
It was concerning to see an MP calling for the reintroduction of a form of blasphemy laws today in the Commons.
Blasphemy was abolished as an offence in England and Wales in 2008 under the last Labour government.
In Sep, the UK Govt promised it would ‘never inhibit’ free expression on religions.
A humanist is a person who recognises this life is the only life we know we have, and therefore, resolved to live a moral and fulfilling life in the here and now, based on the inherent human capacity for compassion, and a desire to do good on its own merit. Being a humanist is simply a way of thinking and living that emphasises humanity's capacity and responsibility to promote human flourishing across all frontiers, to protect the natural world, and to work towards a more tolerant society, where rational thinking and kindness prevail.
Dog walk around Plymouth (UK). Sitting in a pub en-route. Over 30s talking at their tables. Under 30s on their phones, occasionally exchanging comment. Is this a generational phenomenon #sociology people?
I’ve just blocked someone who only seemed to want to post about God & Jesus.
Do you think that’s fair? I suppose I could have just chosen not to follow back. But as a #humanist it just annoys me.
And I’m conflicted I suppose, as I love old churches & cathedrals. But I don’t believe in any “God”
Will, I’ve been going through my twitter followers, surprising how many are here already (or maybe not surprised really). Every week a few more move across.
