Took 2 grands to historical Civil War site in Corinth. Saw this plaque which resonates strong today.

I am a 59 year old native Memphian, and I visited the museum for the 1st time this year. Very powerful and impactful. Highly recommend.

It is blatantly ignorant to say "Just be patient." Those with work years ahead of them, those without physical disabilities, and those who already have plenty of wealth can be patient all they want to be. Their choice. Let each person examine their situation and decide if patience is an option.

Absolutely. I toured the MLK Civil Rights Museum in Memphis this morning. I left profoundly sad and worried that we are returning to just such a time.

Saw this post on another platform and I’m so disturbed at the lack of empathy and support. It’s not “Hollywood.” It’s people’s entire lives. Not every person affected is a millionaire, but even the millionaires lost all their photos, memories and a sense of belonging. Tone deaf and sad.

Nov 6th @ 2am, I had a severe panic attack, hyperventilated, and cried till I was out of tears. In the weeks since, I’ve moved to Bluesky and am slowly watching some news again. Focusing on things that bring me joy while suppressing the fear in my gut.
