Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later.

Back pain is something many of us deal with, but it isn’t always what it seems.
Axial spondyloarthritis is an inflammatory condition that is often missed, delaying diagnosis and treatment. A Yale Medicine rheumatologist has developed an online screening tool to help identify it earlier.
This dog rescue had a slumber party night where volunteers got to sleep with a dog up for adoption!
This is the kind of place I’d donate my time and money to.

Trump says "The Pope is weak on crime"
I say "it’s not the Pope’s fault you’re not in prison Donald"
I doth my hat to whomever made this.
One has to appreciate when the memes are just bad photoshop (like the days of old) and not AI slop attacking AI slop

NEVER ADDRESS TRUMP AS PRESIDENT. HE IS TRUMP. JUST TRUMP. NEVER PRESIDENT. KEITH OLBERMANN RESISTANCE
I. Never. Have.
He never earned that position just like he never won a FIFA or Nobel Prize. They attempted to placate the child.
He's the first to be the worst ever president. Twice.
A tweet featuring an astronaut inside a spacecraft, looking tired or resigned. Overlaid text jokes about being farther from Earth than any human before while still having to hear a particular voice.
I watched that cringe-filled moment. On behalf of the people who share this rock with you, we’re sorry that HE had to be a part of any of your historic journey.
Finished my first week in my new lab today! It's been a great first week, and I'm really happy. It's a very supportive lab with good people doing fascinating and solid research. I'm feeling excited for the first time in a very long time to be back in a lab. Looking forward to working here!
Okay, for all my fiction podcast people out there, if you haven't listened to "The Harbingers" yet, I *highly* recommend it. It's written by one of my favorite writers, Gabriel Urbina (of Wolf 359 fame). Do yourself a favor and give it a shot

third season crowdfunded. I'm kind of new to the world of fiction podcasts, so I haven't listened to too many yet, but I feel like most of what I have listened to I've enjoyed so far
You have any recommendations? (2/2)
Ooooh, yes! I just started "The Harbingers," which is also by Gabriel Urbina, and I'm very much enjoying it too! It starts off more fantasy, though I'm not convinced it actually is. I think it might be sneaky sci fi. I also really enjoyed the first two sessions of Derelict, which just got it's (1/2)
3 friends smiling on a street corner on a Saturday night
Got to spend a wonderful evening on Saturday catching up with old juggling, burlesque, and performing friends. We've all come out the other side of COVID and the last several years different people, but happy to still be friends :) Looking forward to seeing them again soon!
What a fucking joke we've become. This is shameful
Article excerpt from the Chicago Sun Times, reading: HEADLINE: After primary loss, Kat Abughazaleh moves to boost campaigns across Midwest SUBHEAD: Abughazaleh said Thursday that she will help campaigns "integrate mutual aid and direct action into their races," across the country, "especially in the Midwest." STORY: By Tina Sfondeles | Apr 2, 2026, 4:36pm CDT "Fresh off a second-place finish, progressive content creator and former congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh is scaling up her political network to help purple and progressive candidates in the Midwest - all while keeping her Rogers Park campaign office open as a mutual aid hub and community space."
Chicago Sun Times quote: Abughazaleh announced she will help campaigns "integrate mutual aid and direct action into their races," and she plans to help races across the country, "especially in the Midwest." Abughazaleh said she is working with partners to fund the project and plans to expand it to help other candidates. "But Kat, you lost your race. How could you even say that this model could win races?' Well I'm so glad you asked. We came in a very close second in a field of 15, beating out AIPAC and multiple established local politicians, and we did it with zero outside money," Abughazaleh said. "We brought in more first-time Gen Z donors than the DSCC [Democratic Senate Campaign Committee] the DCC [Democratic Congressional Committee], [Senate Minority Leader Chuck] Schumer, [House Minority Leader Hakeem] Jeffries and my next two primary opponents combined." Abughazaleh raised an astonishing $3.3 million in an anti-establishment primary race, which included avoiding newspaper and Democratic Party endorsements and using livestream events to solicit small-donor donations instead of begging big-time donors for cash. She also used that time to tell voters about her platform, which included universal health care, protections against price-gouging, more housing with federal incentives, climate action — and removing lead pipes. Abughazaleh said the campaign's framework for mutual aid - opening up her Rogers Park campaign office as a place for people to come for food, clothing and essential needs like baby formula — "was the No. 1 persuader to undecided voters."
Chicago Sun Times article excerpt reads: Part of her post-election plans also include increasing free community-focused events at the Rogers Park campaign office at 7016 N. Clark St. "By a long shot, people feel helpless and alone in the face of fascism, and the system is meant to make you feel that way. Authoritarians want you to feel paralyzed. They want you to keep doom scrolling. And instead, we came with a different offer," Abughazaleh said. "What if you join us for a park cleanup? What if you help us knit hats for people during a cold snap? What if you help us organize diapers for parents that need them?" Photos from campaign events showcased, from knitting mutual aid items to organizing with the Sunrise Movement to park cleanup days.
Defeatism? We don’t know her.
Our community support-based campaign model demonstrates a new model for politics and engaged a record number of young voters.
Now we’re not just going to keep doing that work. We’re helping campaigns across the country do the same.
Why do we live in such a childish, stupid country? A country that wastes its money on useless billion dollar aircraft carriers, when it could be spending those tax dollars to actually help its citizens like sane countries.
I just listened to the final episode today. What a gem!

First day back at Anschutz! Round 3 here lol
I just keep coming back!
First day of my new job tomorrow! I'm really excited about it. Cool research and from everything I can tell, a great lab with a great culture
Time to wind down and watch some dropout with my dog :)
A brindle Malinois mix with a little mud on his face. He looks happy after having played fetch for about 30 minutes
Muddy face happy face
As someone who just landed a research job in a well funded lab, I count myself *incredibly* fortunate.
Another reason this is frustrating is that the general public probably won't see what we didn't get because of the funding lapse. So, while the impact is huge, in many ways, it will be invisible
With my Ankylosing Spondylitis I can't march in the streets, but I can do this and will be attending! Join me today at 4pm EDT!

A viral dog rescue from 2016 is now immortalized with a statue in Kazakhstan. When a dog fell into the Sayran reservoir, bystanders formed a human chain to pull him to safety. The statue is a reminder of the value of unity, solidarity and collective action. 14/10 for all
New Dimension 20 day is always a good day :)

My old roommate and best friend found this photo of when I first adopted Nandor! He was so tiny then! He does, however, still believe he's a lap dog
