I cracked up.
"I dunno," shrugged Smol, "There's no ABC for impches or centipeders." "Do you know the difference?" Smol nods. "How do you tell the difference?" Smol said slowly and definitively, "One has ABCs that say impches and 'nother has ABCs that say centipeders." "Oh, you can read?"
Funny: One of the level assessment questions was - three objects on table, cup bowl and wrench. 'Which one is not something you can drink out of?' and Smol immediately got it right, and all the others of that nature. Me: "Ask him something hard, ask if it's Imperial or Metric."
He likely won't qualify for educational assistance, because he won't need academic help, but he definitely qualifies for social assistance, especially before he turns 3. It's geared toward getting him ready for preschool, and that's exactly what we wanted.
Smol's Early Childhood Assessment was today. The long of the short is that he's very smart, functioning at a 5-6yr old level cognitively but behaviourally he's a little behind. I'm thankful we had the assessors we did, she actually caught the stimming even though it's pretty subtle.
