Thinking about this a bit more, the FYP was giving me a lot of “my knitting/crochet hot takes” posts so maybe what was really going on was that TikTok just understood that I enjoy drama of which I am in no way emotionally attached or affected by lmao.
I think it’s so funny that I am a whole metalsmith (ie a quite minute/detailed/multi-stepped process-oriented craft created by hand using hand tools) & yet watching either knitting or crochet my mind just *does not compute* AT ALL. I do not get it!! But I would like for it to make sense hahaha

As a little kid I *loved* ochre stars. They were my favorite tide pool finds, in their vivid purples and oranges. Later I forgot to cherish them, until sea star wasting disease wiped the coast clean in 2014. Now I never fail to tell each one that I love them and they're doing a great job.
