Its been a sad drama watching the death of real game journalism (and all journaism) due to youtuber hot take monetization driving culutre. Developers have always just grist for the mill. These articles will keep getting more predatory as they are running out of game devs to grind for clicks
A lot of factors to consider here, including that this isn’t a live service game, but I think the constant doomerism from media that doesn’t even ask developers their metric of success is not particularly useful.
