Starting shortly--please join us to review key research from 2024 on atypical Alzheimer's disease, selective vulnerability, anti-amyloid therapies, and other topics of interest!
With so many great tau researchers like @leatgrinberg.bsky.social @lucbuee.bsky.social @sjorsscheres.bsky.social @selinawray.bsky.social @karchlab.bsky.social on #SciSky could not help but put together my 1st starterpack⤵️
We are all fighting for you @curemaptftd.bsky.social 💙

Come by poster #173 at #HAI2025 to see recent PI-2620 data from the Penn FTD and ADRC! And while you're there, let's chat about postdoc opportunities in Philly...
In 833 cognitively unimpaired older adults, obesity related differently to brain tau across ethnoracial subgroups.
To find out more, come talk to Victoria Tennant at poster #143 tomorrow (Friday) 11:05 am-12 at Human Amyloid Imaging #HAI2025

🎉 eLife is pleased to announce Timothy Behrens (@behrenstimb.bsky.social) as our new Editor-in-Chief!
A distinguished neuroscientist and long-time supporter, Tim will lead our efforts in transforming research communication for all.
Happy to share our new preprint led by Johannes Gnörich and @matthiasbrendel.bsky.social, showcasing a full ATN staging approach using a single dynamic PI-2620 scan, leveraging advanced kinetic modelling techniques

Shana Stites kicks off an engaging joint session organized by the @ISTAART Neuroimaging and Diversity & Disparities PIAs. Some hard questions asked about the ethical obligations that we have to people who may be eligible for anti-amyloid therapies but who lack access and insurance coverage. #HAI2025
Slide of correlation matrices between tau antibodies and antemortem Alzheimer's disease markers.
Impressive histology work by Christina Moloney testing association between antemortem markers of Alzheimer's progression and 14!! tau antibodies sensitive to different maturational stages of tau. #HAI2025
Very nice work by Michel Grothe at #HAI2025: elevated flortaucipir in primary age-related tauopathy (PART), including one postmortem case!
#HAI2025: Poster blitz! Beth Mormino presents on behalf of Christina Young on longitudinal change in AD MTL and cortical subtypes in A4 dataset, showing more aggressive tau aggregation in cortical-predominant cases.
#HAI2025: Gil Rabinovici asks if it's time to update the [tiny] GAAIN dataset to have a better-powered source for amyloid PET tracer harmonization. But Centiloid 2.0 is in the works, says Julie Price! Cliff Jack notes one important application is biologic staging for diagnosis and treatment.
#HAI025: Cecile Tissot presents analyses from the cross-tracer HEAD dataset showing starkly lower noise-to-dynamic-range ratio (NRR) with MK6240 than with 3 alternative tau tracers. But unclear how these differences affect classification/diagnostic accuracy, especially averaging across a large ROI.
Reports from #HAI2025: Ganna Blazhenets wins best talk title automatically, with "Every centiloid, everywhere, all at once", plus accompanying movie poster! And Guillherme Povala from Pittsburgh (❤️) rolls out the UniTau package for cross-trace tau PET harmonization--definitely going to try this!

Gorgeous weather in San Juan for #HAI2025! We'll be presenting the latest PI-2620 tau PET results from @PennFTDCenter and the Penn ADRC on Friday--stop by poster 173 to chat! AND would love to talk if you're interested in postdoc opportunities at Penn.
Last week at the Human Amyloid Conference, I got the incredible surprise and honor to receive the Christopher Clark Award for my work on PET imaging in Alzheimer’s and related diseases.
It means a lot coming from a field I literally grew up in.
🤓🥰🥳
Wheels up for my first conference of the year, Human Amyloid Imaging. Excited to see the latest advances in biomarkers and translational neuropathology 🤩
#PuertoRico here we come
A Lot of great past keynotes recorded 👇
