A silver lining of this messed up situation is that Canada has clearly demonstrated it's character when pushed 😊 Pretty sure that as the view of the US has deteriorated, most people have gotten an improved view of Canada (which was already pretty good).
I suppose it's similar to referring to America and not meaning south and north, the transatlantic partnership meaning that with the US, even though it in literal terms could mean any. Not moving on from Canada any time soon❤️
Have a faint memory of reading about past daily rythms and remember reading that people often slept twice. Wierd how something that was apparently normal now feels strange 🙂
Lies! I have at least 6😤
Palantir's CEO published a manifesto arguing Western tech firms have a "moral debt" to US military dominance, that AI weapons are inevitable, and that "some cultures are dysfunctional." This isn't just a regularly evil tech or defence contractor, it’s a fascist political project.
Keep telling my daughter my first name is "Dad". Should switch to "Mayor Dad" or even "Major Dad", has a nice ring to it
Leaked footage of JD Vance in Islamabad
Just realised what's an unholy construction - Fighter jet radar domes😮 I'm sure the people behind those have their yearly conventions in Blåkulla
Don't forget flamethrowers and poisonous darts!
Once again, it all should have ended immediately in 2017, when he started openly monetizing his hotels at Mar-a-Lago & around the corner from the White House. We have yawned, as a country, at unprecedented corruption right in front of us.
Go for it dude! I'd be happy to share your excitement 🙂
Hey, I've heard this and seen these figures before somewhere @prune602.bsky.social 😬
It will get worse!
Think @alanderminna.bsky.social or @berlinbridge.bsky.social that used to be...frustrated...by this. Was amusing to read🙂
The polls tend to say that it's dropping, showing some graph. Yet month after month the "current" support stays more or less the same. The last graph I saw before this had it at 39%, which was higher than what I had seen for a while
All of these polls focusing on the wrong thing, as if people disapproving would be something impressive when it's the absolute minimum one can expect of someone like that. Every single one should focus on why his support is so shockingly high still and it's not dropping.
What about the real issue??! WHAT ABOUT MY FLYING SKATEBOARD?! 😁
"They were all of them deceived, for there was a sixth eye..."
Forgot: Feel like 80🙂
Or something more home grown? 😛 ...ok I'll leave now

Wonder who will be wearing the bib? Didn't Jeff Daniels play Reagan? I feel he could just recycle a certain old performance and nail Trump
A diagram showing the VDA framework and the Arc of Democracy. At the top, three icons label the essential elements of democracy: Verification (tick), Deliberation (speech bubble), and Accountability (magnifying glass). Arrows descend from each through three horizontal bands representing the arc: Substantial (truth tested, voices included, power constrained), Performative (forms remain but substance is weak, rituals without consequence), and Simulated (appearance maintained but functions inverted: propaganda as verification, polarisation as deliberation, scapegoating as accountability). A vertical arrow on the left marks the arc's direction: improvements, decline, collapse. A column on the right maps counterpublics onto the same three states: functional counterpublics act in a substantial way, hollow counterpublics in a performative way, disordered counterpublics in a simulated way. The bands shift from grey through pink to red as democracy moves toward simulation.
A society that runs on this stack doesn't stop holding elections, or debating, or running investigations. The forms stay, but what goes is their capacity to constrain power. The arc bends toward simulation, carried out in the language of defending democracy.
9. We should show far more grace towards those who have subjected themselves to public life. The eradication of any space for forgiveness—a jettisoning of any tolerance for the complexities and contradictions of the human psyche—may leave us with a cast of characters at the helm we will grow to regret. 18. The ruthless exposure of the private lives of public figures drives far too much talent away from government service. The public arena—and the shallow and petty assaults against those who dare to do something other than enrich themselves—has become so unforgiving that the republic is left with a significant roster of ineffectual, empty vessels whose ambition one would forgive if there were any genuine belief structure lurking within. 19. The caution in public life that we unwittingly encourage is corrosive. Those who say nothing wrong often say nothing much at all.
Points 9, 18 and 19 go after accountability directly. Scrutiny of public figures gets reframed as a kind of cultural sickness driving talent away from public life. The problem becomes the people doing the scrutinising, not the people being scrutinised.
The answer is not bilateral deals with Trump. It is unity. Because when Europe stands together, it is an equal power. And that is exactly what Washington cannot stand."
Two nights ago, Russia sent nearly 700 drones and dozens of missiles at Ukrainian civilians. In the fifth year of the war, aerial attacks on Ukrainian civilians have become even more intense and more frequent. Please join me in this campaign for air defense equipment. You can help protect lives.
Wasn't so black magic after all, my brain just didn't make the connection 🙂 But both things.with the electro amd electrical in their names are unholy and scary...
