This is good - there were worries that Switzerland, which has pushed back strongly (and very problematically) against the judgment, would manage to get this process closed again as soon as it started. Instead, looks like the Council of Europe and the other States want to see more from Switzerland.

I signed this letter, reflecting on the difference it makes to have a secure contract and channeling @marinavelickovic.bsky.social in Critical Legal Thinking about what we do when “the discipline you are hoping will accept you will only do so in exchange for your silence at the dinner table”.

This is so outrageous I actually had to double check it was real. What an unintentionally clear window into why all kinds of people dislike and distrust mainstream media institutions.
