Two gannets, one in sun and one in shade, outlined against the dark sea

Love in a cold climate - a rain to sun day at @rspb.bsky.social Bempton Cliffs with bright sunshine to the south and a dark sea under cloud to the north - amazing light for such beautful birds

"Don't strike or I'll withdraw healthcare from tomorrow's public" is pretty stupid even by Labour's standards.

Presuming is not something to do.

Wait, see what occurs and comply with recommendations when they appear.

We’ve been through the dramas of DOLS, HRA right to life and various others, the system tends towards sanity and avoiding a torrent of litigation.

“As far as we can see, the decision by Theis J has not yet been published”

1 month ago 0 1 1 0

I suspect that the article is written about an unpublished judgement and even if this decision is 1. As described and 2. Holds then a change in language rather than a change in practice will be the outcome.

When there are paedophile rings which involve people of colour, such as in Rotherham, those nationalities are singled out for abuse.
No such thing seems to be happening with the Epstein paedophile ring

Can’t believe they released the Epstein files to cover up for the Melania movie.

Very important that in amongst today's din we don't forget this incredible Jenrick/Partridge line.

Along with considerable evidence that generational theory is at best nonsense (and at worst age-based discrimination without foundation) maybe we can stop with the bullshit and sort out the basics?

They're pretty sophisticated, and aren't simple dials and buttons machines.

Oh yes, it's just you lose all those safety features too. At the minimum for the auto-breaking pedestrian protection you need cameras, a radar and a big CPU to integrate it all.

What is GSR2? Important EU car safety features explained Confused by the latest safety tech and ADAS driver assists? Our one-stop guide details GSR2 and the new features legislated into new cars

The trouble is the touchscreens etc are cheaper than a bunch of manual dials and switches, in that a car must have a list of driver aids requiring lots of inputs and processing power - so the dials and switches would be extras vs a cheap tablet screen www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice...

Expiratory flow sensing - the only setting on the vent where a lower number is more support.

I try knocking it down from 25% to 10% occasionally.

It terminates inspiratory support when the insp flow falls to the set percentage as compared with peak flow.

Got to feel sorry for the political sub-eds who smashed out a lazy article on Starmer and a coup and slipped out for a two bottle lunch.

Mostly a trial of CPAP rather than formal NIV. No difference in mortality or need for intubation, and nearly 10% of patients were enrollment violations with a different primary outcome measure, which is. . . .

Draft Tory legislation on removing indefinite leave to remain is insane.

Would chuck out those not earning over £38K - including many pensioners!

+ social protections seems to include child benefit, so load of people with (British!) kids!

They'd remove my sis & mum who've been here 50 years.

I am a dialysis patient at a fairly large unit. This would get rid of all but ONE of my highly trained and highly skilled nurses. Renal training for nurses takes time as it is a specialist skill not taught to nurses as part of normal training.

I suspect other specialist units would the same problem
