Oil landscape painting I made last year. The most difficult think is to take a picture.

Believing your relationship with art should always make you feel good is like expecting a long-term relationship to be all honeymoon phase. Unrealistic, unhealthy, and setting you up for disappointment.
🧵 Showing up for your art on bad days helps:
Fediverse post from @TheLetterTen@tech.lgbt: "A Mobius strip walks into a bar, sobbing. The bartender asks, 'What's wrong?' The Mobius strip replies, 'Where do I even begin?'"
I love silly puns

I'm glad Look Outside was able to answer the important question of what happens when you look out a window in Quebec?

The Dickin Medal is the highest award that can be issued to animals in British military service. Bearing the words "We Also Serve" it has been awarded 75 times since its creation in 1943.
Only one cat has ever received the award.

For the final project for my video game composition course, I have students compose music for a 2-minute gameplay video, and I would LOVE to feature a couple indie games.
So if you're an indie dev that might be interested in this, let me know!
It was my pleasure to supply some video! Your course sounds like a lot of fun.
Made a starter pack for indie devs that are creating games using RPG Maker. I will continue to add and create more lists for RPG Maker Devs.

Progress! Progress! In towns you visit, there are also temples you can visit where you can have the Clerics there revive your teammates. For a fee of course. They will increase in price the higher level they become. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #SRPG #RPGMakerMV #pixelart #RPGツクールMV
this is one of the most fun games I've played in the past few years. it's a truly great 2d action platformer with a beautiful amount of silliness in it.
Well, I don't blame him for wanting them gone! 😅

A realistic digital painting of Chinese-American actress Joan Chen as Josie from Twin Peaks. Portrait is from the waist up. Josie is seated on a dusty pink velvet sofa. She’s wearing a green, blue, and black oversized sweater and bright red lipstick. Her black hair is short and slicked back in a delicate wave. She’s clutching a red book to her chest. One of her hands is repeated three times, the disembodied extra hands stacked surreally as if in mid-air. The background is a gradient from pale lavender to vivid blue.
A realistic digital painting of The Moon. Portrait is from the waist up. The “Moon” is hovering in mid-air, soft white, the disembodied “head” over a pink and orange Cinderella-style gown with billowy sleeves. Purple-tinted human hands are clasped loosely at the front but otherwise no body can be seen. The background is a gradient from soft brown to deep purple.
A realistic digital painting of Media from American Gods. Portrait is from the chest up. Media, played by white actor Gillian Anderson, is dressed as Marilyn Monroe from The Seven Year Itch. She’s wearing an ivory satin halter dress with bare shoulders. Her curly hair is platinum blonde. She wears red lipstick and enamel earrings in the shape of an emoji: a yellow smiley face with hearts for eyes. The background is soft orange.
A realistic digital painting of Gus from Breaking Bad. Portrait is a closeup bust. Gus is portrayed by Black Italian American actor Giancarlo Esposito. His portrait is all in gray with his face cast deep in shadow. The only color in the portrait is his glasses, which have vivid pink lenses. The background is dark gray.

Eating too much cake is the sin of gluttony. However, eating too much pie is okay because the sin of pi is always zero.

Screenshot from Stories from Danger's Den, an eight-bit-style game with a top-down view. We see a cobbled street lined with little homes and shops. A three-generation family lives in one house, where a medic visits and talks with a little girl. The little girl says, "I'm a sky pirate! Arr!"

Thanks for following, and beware of sky pirates! 🏴☠️
Hank Green is so ambitious. It's exhausting. My life is like being the co-author of the Federalist Papers.
I'm all like, "John Jay got sick after writing five."
And Hank's like, "HAMILTON WROTE THE OTHER FIFTY ONE."
I've set up an account for the random retro RPG generator I'm making! If that sounds like fun to you, give it a follow. 👾
A group of leaves arranged almost like a bouquet. Some of the leaves are made of construction paper, and look like a red maple leaf, an orange oak leaf, a yellow compound leaf with many small leaves, and a scattering of teardrop-shaped yellow leaves. The background is a warm tan color.
Aspen leaves cut from orange construction paper, colored with orange marker and yellow crayon veins, are spaced apart almost like footsteps on a trail. Small leaves drawn in colored pencil are scattered around them. The background is brown construction paper.
A tulip poplar leaf cut from yellow construction paper is centered on a honey gold card stock background that surrounds the leaf in shapes and stripes drawn in soft colored pencil reds, yellows, and greens.
Here's a little something autumnal. 🍂
I made these last year with cut paper, colored pencils, and markers.

As a music professor, I know that music terminology can sound more complex than it really is. Here's a thread of music vocabulary that might sound intimidating, along with the most concise, simple definition possible.

I started making impermanent earth art with fallen leaves, flowers, and other natural elements in 2020, after finding Morning Altars by Day Schildkret on various socials. I made this a few months later, when a friend died of breast cancer. It's one of my favorites that I've made so far.
I saw a post that started "in the Age of Misinformation" but my mom brain managed to read it as the Age of Squishmallows. Not sure how it happened, but I'm willing to embrace the Age of Squishmallows, those cuddly little things are great.
"I must not over scope. Scope is the game-killer. Scope is the creeping-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my scope. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see the production path. Where the excess scope has gone there will be nothing. Only the game will remain.”
