It’s this. Higher Education is not “left leaning” by choice, it’s the nature of knowledge. It turns out the more educated and well-rounded people are, the more left leaning they tend to be. MAGA and alt right politics only thrive in environments where people are uninformed and uncritical.

The gutting of our federal workforce is awful for many reasons, but the loss of jobs spans far beyond just that set of people. I’ve also been out of FT work for nearly two years thanks to the state of the economy due to this admin—and I’m def not the only one. There are no jobs, for anyone.

I’ve always said that the main problem with fascism is its lack of commonsense guardrails

Apparently he’s a Zionist tho, so I’m sure he’ll fit right into his new political home. Good for him.

This isn’t an airport, no need to announce your departure… much less be granted an entire OpEd to do it, regardless of how wild it is to choose to align yourself with people you know to be fascists, bigots, rapists, war criminals, liars and pedophiles.

Booker voted to confirm Marco Rubio, John Ratcliffe, and Scott Bessent to the cabinet all of whom brought us this disaster in Iran. A crumb of humility sir when lecturing the base that has moved far left of leadership

THANK YOU. And again, that’s on top of four years of not doing jackshit to keep us from landing right back here. Cory Booker can kiss my ass.

the first order of business should be revenge actually

hard same

over the past 60 years, courts have used qualified immunity to excuse all sorts of egregious police abuses--saying 'maybe they didn't know they couldn't do that!'--and whittle down our constitutional right to be free from such abuses into nothingness

"First order of business when we win is to concede EVERYTHING"

FUCK NO. Destroy the entire republican party, expose them all as the child rapists/pedophile protectors they are and finally oust them from American politics so we can actually move forward as a country.

Like I’m sorry, but I’m sick and fucking tired of people in power placing the blame on everyone but themselves as if THEY haven’t played an integral role in bringing us here. It’s no different than telling folks to conserve water while throwing up data centers. Go to hell.

Right, wrong or indifferent—this is an unproductive talking point. Especially coming from folks who spent 4 years doing jackshit to keep insurrectionists from taking office again, and then voted alongside them on various things once they did. Point that finger in the mirror, Cory.

Dunked on this yesterday but in reality the first order of business needs to be punishment. I'm not kidding. We can't start fixing anything until we punish, and punish hard, the people who put us here. That needs to be done to send a message. And if we don't punish, nothing else will matter.

Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

I need “city officials” to know I ain’t conserving a gd thing until they start holding these corporations accountable. Getting on the news and talking about conserving water when they’re putting up data centers right and left is about to piss me right tf off.

I know nothing about these games, but I saw people calling it a “glad dad” vs sad dad game and I thought that was nice bc it meant it was heartwarming—like baby yoda vibes😂 so imagine my surprise at seeing what you quoted here lmao. Are people okay?? (I know the answer is no, but sheesh).
