I’m not the target audience for this but… homework that costs money? In this economy?? lololololol, y’all have lost your minds.

I know nothing about these games, but I saw people calling it a “glad dad” vs sad dad game and I thought that was nice bc it meant it was heartwarming—like baby yoda vibes😂 so imagine my surprise at seeing what you quoted here lmao. Are people okay?? (I know the answer is no, but sheesh).

Just one last note on this before it goes live - I'm pretty proud of the edition of POP 'N' PIZZA that's going out tomorrow morning at 9 AM - the first volume in an ongoing series about classic cinema.

The Economist: A Journal for Rightwing Confirmation Bias.

I’m sorry, I do not and will never believe that printing right wing editorials is good for anyone 🤷🏻‍♀️ and that applies to every rag that does it under the guise of “differing opinions”

A regular reminder that a large part of the current media class is complicit in bringing us to were we are by printing false, misleading, or just plain bad takes regularly with the goal of gaslighting the nation. Unsubscribe.

We need to make a priority list; the rich must be eaten, but we shouldn't ignore the appetizers.

Just horrifying to watch once excellent universities voluntarily destroying themselves.

I'll simply say again that for Shlaes to resurface in The Economist at this moment is an indicator of an ambient concern that Rooseveltian policies and politics are increasingly likely. The thing about the New Deal is, it was *immensely popular.* That's terrifying to certain people

It’s so annoying and I feel this way about the Alex/Alix beef I cannot get out of my feeds too. Stop with the Portnoy spin-offs already 🙄🫠 I refuse to care about these people, make it stop!

“Education and re-skilling workers” is what people talk about when they think they’re going to get people who have had good jobs in manufacturing to take bad desk jobs at a newly built data center or something instead, and *this doesn’t work*.

I don’t know what the answer to this is, but the idea that you’re going to come into communities you think are going to have their local economies devastated (many kinds of job loss are highly localized) and in five years you’re going to change everybody over to new jobs? I think that’s a fantasy.

two men with long hair are standing next to each other in front of a brick wall . Alt: two men (jay and silent bob) with long hair are standing next to each other in front of a brick wall swaying back and forth in unison as if to a musical beat

Anyway, happy holidaze to all who partake 💨

And that’s because, according to its etymology anyway, the origins are rooted elsewhere in the world—most likely Mexican Spanish, though there’s speculation re: Chinese and African roots.

It’s an “English word”, but it’s not English born 😂 which… tracks.

I would love it if those of you who do not have library cards will apply for one at your local branch during #NationalLibraryWeek. Then let me know about it. 😇

Absolutely incredible.

NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.

Watch with sound on.

Sorry but I will never submit to the idea that humans are cruel.

I’ve had many cruel things happen to me but overall my entire life is a result of persistent & unyielding kindness.
