On this day in 1945, two Dutch Jewish brothers (12 & 8) were murdered by hanging at Bullenhuser Damm along with 18 other children. All had been subject to 'medical' experiments. The brothers had been selected whilst in Auschwitz. Their names were Eduard and Alexander Hornemann

On this day in 1945, a 39 year old Dutch Jewish woman perished in the Eidelstedt labour camp. It is likely that she had been evacuated from the Helmstedt-Beendorf satellite camp. The camp was liberated by the British on the 5 May 1945. Her name was Betsie Lissauer-Hammel

On this day in 1923, a Polish Jewish woman was born. Living in Czechoslovakia with her family, on the 3 Aug 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt and on the 20 Aug 1942 to the Riga Ghetto. She perished in the Shoah. Her name was Jiřina Haubenová

On this day in 1943, a 53 year old Polish woman perished in in Auschwitz after being incarcerated for 4 months and 9 days. Her name was Maria Mnich

On this day in 1945, a German Jewish woman, who had fled with her husband and child to the Netherlands, perished in Ravensbrück concentration camp. Her husband perished the same day in Nordhausen concentration camp. Their child survived. Her name was Anna Sperber-Chlebowski

On this day in 1933, an 11 year old German Jewish boy was deported from Caserne Dossin to Auschwitz with his parents. It is most probable that he was murdered on arrival. His name was Berthold David Grünebaum
