It's honestly kind of impressive that most European countries with bad histories have taken responsibility for their historical crimes in ways many countries have not. For example Germany teaches about the Holocaust.
And the British increasingly teach in schools they did bad things as "colonizers".

One thing that Europe is really behind on is marijuana. Almost every country has not legalized it despite many of the countries where it is still banned having a heavier drinking culture than the US and more importantly often showing popular support for legalization.

Voter turnout is looking historic in Virginia for a special election because so much is at stake.
I have an interesting thought: This will test my theory that the Democratic base has a turnout edge because some Republicans have tuned out in protest of a sense of betrayal.
