It's honestly kind of impressive that most European countries with bad histories have taken responsibility for their historical crimes in ways many countries have not. For example Germany teaches about the Holocaust.

And the British increasingly teach in schools they did bad things as "colonizers".

The SAVE act died in the Senate.

As politely as I can, it is hard to overstate how stupid GOP voters are. Anything not GOP is "Marxism and communism" according to them.

It was 5 but it doesn't really matter because my thresholds are so different

I will not do it again. I didn't really realize how insane that would feel.

I'm not going to try any psychedelic type chemicals ever again. Because it was scary.

I was using it to try to have a super deep dream type experience. It actually backfired because it created a buzz that makes me afraid to fall asleep. This time is different cause it failed at my core goal twice.

I did this like 3 months ago. But I chose to do it again because I felt like it would be safer with a lower dose and to have it in my system while I was sleeping. I was right, it was less scary, but it still felt very uncomfortable.

I felt a sense of nightmares coming.

Good morning. I feel a little sick today because I ate a THC gummy just to try it out (I don't live in Texas or any other red state and I'm 22 so it's fine) so I can manifest that Democrats take over in the future.

I felt really strongly affected. But I am getting better and I won't try it again.

This gave me kind an unpopular opinion: marijuana should be legalized, but NOT used as a medicine in the sense that you must have a prescription to get it to help with health conditions.

I have a doctor who is a psychiatrist. One thing she said was that medical marijuana actually doesn't work nearly as well as early studies suggested because a lot of it is placebo effects rather than actual marijuana benefits.

Tonight, I am going to manifest that the Democrats win in Virginia because Democrats surge the polls and Republicans do not turn out as much as expected.

I am going to do "hyper manifestation" tonight.

Wild fact: Quebec was so worried about English replacing French that they mandated that even brand names are translated into French. This is one of the most famous examples: it was replaced with the French translation of the acronym.

Even in France they call it KFC.

They had good reason to worry about that to be fair especially considering Louisiana was also French speaking 200 years ago but French in Louisiana has largely lost its status as a native language. But I do think that was overkill given we don't see most countries make such moves.

Frankly Europe is not alone. The vast majority of countries and states or other subdivisions of countries that legalized marijuana are in the Americas, especially North America.

Even Mexico, which has had serious problems with narcotics, has legalized marijuana nationwide. But red states refuse. 😡

The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

Trump's job rating just hit its lowest point of his second term in NBC News polling:

37% of adults approve of Trump’s performance, 63% disapprove — including 50% who disapprove strongly

Two-thirds of respondents disapprove of Trump's handling of inflation and the Iran war

One thing that Europe is really behind on is marijuana. Almost every country has not legalized it despite many of the countries where it is still banned having a heavier drinking culture than the US and more importantly often showing popular support for legalization.

Voter turnout is looking historic in Virginia for a special election because so much is at stake.

I have an interesting thought: This will test my theory that the Democratic base has a turnout edge because some Republicans have tuned out in protest of a sense of betrayal.

Back then, Israel was in many ways a progressive project: designed to give what was at the time the world’s most persecuted and hated ethnoreligious group a home and opposing genocide. It has totally changed.
