The worm community has lost a true legend with the passing of Don Moerman. Don's impact on C. elegans research is beyond measure. A friend to many of us here in MN, his work has been invaluable, contributing >5,400 strains (VC & DM) to the CGC, 20% of our collection!
We are currently preparing all of the strains from the Chen Lab's collection of GPCR mutants (CHS#). We will either have thawed or will be thawing each of those strains within the next several weeks. It is a good time to order strains from this collection if you plan to do so!
Effective March 1, 2026, the Int'l Processing Fee will be assessed at the flat rate of $1 per strain ordered: $1 for one strain, $2 for two strains, $3 for three strains, etc. This fee will automatically be added to each order at checkout.
Please plan accordingly when generating purchase orders!
Attention Users: International Processing Fees will be changing March 1, 2026
Costs associated with international shipping & handling have increased dramatically.
To help offset these rising costs, we will be replacing the tiered scale for international processing fees with flat fee of $1/strain.

A huge thanks to David Reiner & Jordan Word for getting this off the ground.
We are pleased to announce the first release in our series of Curated Special Collections!

In case you missed it...
A fun read highlighting the importance of key resources in moving the entire community's research forward more efficiently. (An amazing group of co-authors to work with, too!)
