Cushing and Allen are superb in this. Both have remarkable voices, of course.

I thought Jon Pertwee was born in 1919?
He constantly makes me laugh out loud. He's just wonderful in the first two episodes of series 4... But no spoilers!
Edward Hardwicke as Watson from Sherlock Holmes - The Empty House. Wearing a fez, smoking a cigar with every sign of contentment.
Edward Hardwicke. In a Fez, smoking a cigar. Another one for the ages.

Introduce yourself with some jobs you have done apart from what you do now:
1. surveyors' booking clerk
2. solicitors' strong room clerk
3. hardware store weigher of rabbit food
4. school cricket scorer
5. custard pie recipient
Brilliant! Levene especially amusing!
I see we have a couple of stowaways on board. HELLO wherever you are!
Just got here myself. πππ
It's a vibe. π
How interesting that we've both started watching this series at roughly the same time. I did all the monochrome episodes last week and I'm now on the second colour series. Brilliant stuff!
Me on Twitter vs me on Bluesky.
Wow! Not only have I just discovered the entire BBC Sound Effects library is online, one of my favourite sound effects is there: the all-purpose "Glass Crash" from every 70s-80s TV and film production, including four Doctor Whos plus K9 and Company!

Having watched all of "Slow Horses" last month, I'm having the time of my life watching "Callan" at present. Edward Woodward gives a wonderful lead performance, while Russell Hunter, William Squire, Geoffrey Chater and Anthony Valentine are a great support team. A few standout episodes too.
How lovely! Bring on those John Abineri discussions. Always beautifully turned out and not a hair out of place! π
Bernard Hepton says it all...
I'll find a new video in due course, but for now he's easing my switchover from X.
