The late great Bob McKnight's artwork is at risk of being seized and destroyed if something isn't done about it. His dearest friend and mentee Rob Griggs has set up a GoFundMe to help save his property, including his extensive art archives. Bob LOVED animation and it's history, help preserve it!

I hit a milestone last week & almost forgot to acknowledge it - I had my 1st professional credit under my new name. I did some storyboards for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, & they didn't use much of my stuff (I think all that was left of my work was the ice cream gag), but I'm in there. As Heather.

Just in case folks miss this due to the block
Los Angeles Bluesky, I need your help. I just learned that on Saturday at the protest at the downtown Metropolitan Detention Center, a friend’s 18-year-old son was shot in the eye with a pepper ball by DHS, permanently blinding him. He needs justice. If you were there and saw anything, please… 1/5
About an hour left in this year’s Transgender Day of Visibility - I think the way it works is if you’re cisgender and you haven’t seen a transgender person before midnight rolls around, it means you were secretly the transgender person this whole time. Happy TDOV!
hi, cis folks in NY state!
was today a protest day for you? feel recharged? want to take 5-10 minutes & do another achievable thing?
the 2 biggest private hospitals in NYC ended trans youth care in violation of state & city law as an act of overcompliance to trump.

According to TransResilience in Dec 2025, anti-trans hate groups filed FDA petition for fed registry of trans women on estrogen incl. mandatory psychiatric gatekeeping. It went unnoticed and has 0 statements of expert opposition. Comments still being accepted.
I'd like to speak with trans adults (18+) whose access to transition care has changed due to state and/or federal policy changes.

I don't think Disney's current stance is unmovable. There are queer artists in the company fighting for every scrap of representation, and if Disney decides there's more money in providing it than cutting it, they will.
But that's my point - Disney might have buried Owl House, but it was out long enough to be seen. If even scraps of representation can be shouted down by right wing extremists, then what good does it do for us to give up & be silent? Shouldn't we be shouting back to show Disney there's money there?
But they're still a powerful voice in deciding what gets into the media, YouTube or not. Shrugging and writing them off is giving up on a large part of the cultural landscape.
I'm not arguing that Disney is ever going to make a choice to put out trans-positive content if there's no upside to it for them financially, I'm saying that what they put out into the world defines what a lot of people see as normal. If they can make a buck off of telling trans stories, they will.
Maybe I narrowed my focus too early - your initial point (as I understand it) was that parents can go somewhere else for queer content for their kids. I'm saying most won't, but that doesn't mean there aren't households where Disney is the primary source of media, & it matters what they get to see.
Sure, but it matters that the scraps got in there. Disney thought it would make them money to put gay shit in their products, & currently they've decided that it doesn't, & some day they will maybe decide again that it does. Does it matter why they did it if it reaches someone who needs to see it?
I think you're using the most extreme examples to write off a lot of households with parents who still view Disney as the arbiter of what's "normal".
Yeah, I remember all of that. But for all the noise they make, how has that affected Disney's brand overall? They're still considered the wholesome family brand by most of America.
I just disagree about "none of this shit was going to reach those kids". Most parents just accept Disney's branding as the mainstream default of America. If Disney says being trans is a thing kids can be, it will reach kids, trans and cis alike.
It's not hypothetical; I was a trans kid whose life could have been changed by even the smallest bit of positive representation. I never got to see trans people be anything but a punchline or a tragedy until I was an adult. I grew up in the 80s, there's no reason for kids today to go through that.
Fuck Pete Docter yes, but the erasure of queer characters from mainstream entertainment isn't something that should just be hand-waved away. Queer kids across the country never get to see themselves because their entertainment choices are made for them by the same parents Pete doesn't want to upset.
You or I can choose to look beyond Disney for trans representation, but there are trans kids whose bigoted parents control their media access, and having a kid like them show up in a Disney show could be the only chance they have to see themselves represented, or even hear the word trans.
It’s the same handful of grifters writing the same handful of lies for the same handful of anti-trans publications, paid for by the same handful of right wing front groups funded by the same handful of transphobic billionaires
Well yes, but in Ben's case, it's also Genspect and the LGB Alliance. www.transgendermap.com/issues/topic...
Based on those 2 examples and knowing none of the artist’s other works, no, it is not the same across the board. The artist added angles and corners to Mercury’s jawline that don’t exist in real life.
DR WEBBERLEY RESPONDS Have You Had Your Say About The Cass Review Yet? 120 People Already Have. Iam collecting testimony on the real impact of the Cass Review. 120 responses are in. We need yours.
I am doing this for two reasons. First, because these voices were not included in the Cass Review itself, and they should have been. • Second, because I have referred Dr Hilary Cass to the General Medical Council, and I want the GMC to understand the real-world impact of her work. Your testimony will form part of that referral.
Helen Webberley, who has reported Cass to the GMC, wants to hear how you have been affected by the #CassReview.
Please take a moment to do this, it's so important that someone hears actual testimony / this is available for the for the GMC to take into account.

Yeah, it's weird living at the end of civilization, but it's been OK on a personal level.
It would take a real maverick to defy a pointless rule like this, like maybe that guy in San Francisco like 20 years ago who ordered that marriage licenses for same sex couples be issued in defiance of a court order. Too bad that guy isn’t governor.
Thanks Chuck!

If you see this, don't participate. It's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and unethical researcher J. Michael Bailey meant to undermine access to care. Spread the word.
