As I understand it, these thrones were commissioned to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada’s confederation back in 2017, not for Queen Elizabeth’s personal specific use. Queen Elizabeth II donated the walnut for the thrones. Charles is the first monarch to use them. 😊

It was pretty quiet here when my invite came 8/25/23, but it’s suddenly much more interesting (I wonder what could have sparked the uptick…) Fingers crossed we get to have a nice thing; so many of us could use it.
