I’m not on this app much these days but a little post to say:
- very proud of the work we did to organize this year’s @parispeaceforum.bsky.social — more below
- I left the Forum yesterday and am starting a new gig as senior advisor at Principles for Peace in Geneva 🇨🇭 on Monday

Proud to be working with Israeli & Palestinian civil society orgs and coalitions committed to the two-state solution to bring together hundreds of influential voices in Paris in 2 weeks for this conference hosted by the @parispeaceforum.bsky.social at @lecese.fr parispeaceforum.org/press-releas...

Cinque terre? In questa economia?

I don’t know why I bother but embezzling 3 million euros from the European Parliament is not a “minor charge” and her appeal will be examined and ruled on before the next presidential election
"Une révolution techno-oligarchique promeut désormais une alliance revancharde et prédatrice entre la Russie de Poutine et les États-Unis de Trump. L’Europe ne doit pas les laisser faire." Beau papier de l'ami @aprokopiev.bsky.social dans la Revue Esprit esprit.presse.fr/article/alex...
The “tariffs charged to the USA” column is obviously absolute nonsense — there is no world in which the EU charges a 39% tariff on US goods (though I know Trump doesn’t understand value added tax or get that it also applies to EU goods, it’s literally just a sales tax)
Oh, they’re throwing him under the bus QUICK

Regardless of anything else about the Wisconsin race, it's just a relief to learn that money can't always buy elections
Crawford: I never could have imagined that I'd be taking on the richest man in the world for justice in Wisconsin. And we won.
Something is fundamentally wrong with America when millions of dollars can’t buy you a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, the respect of your children, the silence of your baby mammas, or a functional penis implant.
Hadn’t opened this app for a few days but logging on to say that this liberal’s heart was filled with joy this morning on waking to a win in Wisconsin. Always good to see oligarchy defeated.
If there are history books in 20-30 years, our kids will be asking how America could so fully espouse evil, support the aggressor and seek to pillage the victim

Trump is poised to stop funding vaccines for developing countries. It’s a huge mistake for MAGA from an economic and security point of view. @paulnuki.bsky.social is spot on: @gavi.org does more than save the lives of children and cutting it will impoverish us all www.telegraph.co.uk/global-healt...
We need French and German troops in Nuuk today.
What’s clear is that whether the addition of Goldberg was intentional or not, everyone else in the chat was too stupid or naive to notice or do anything about it
Increasingly convinced that Waltz added Jeffrey Goldberg to the chat on purpose — whether it was to embarrass colleagues he disliked (Vance? Hegseth?) or to brag about how “tough” their rhetoric is towards Europe is another question that only he can answer

As I posted on the other app: I don’t think I’ve read anything like Jeffrey Goldberg’s Atlantic piece. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
Elon Musk just posted this 👇 an hour ago. Happy Monday et bonne semaine.
Trump is already defying the courts.
He has no more right to defy a district court than the Supreme Court.
Essentially saying all lower court rulings are optional for Trump is legally incorrect and irresponsible.
"Many things are bad now" is not equivalent to "things can't get much much worse." This is a fallacy many people fall into by mistake or because it's convenient. But it can really lead you astray. Things can pretty much always get worse.
I have no patience for this temporizing. People are being summarily shipped off into slavery in central america under the imprimatur of the US government right now. Canada—Canada!—is putting itself on a war footing. We’ve been off the map and in uncharted territory for the last 250 miles.
The level of grifting is already stratospheric and we’re only a couple months into this presidency
