Sometimes I see a yassified Grinch. I hate this, it offends me, it wounds me psychically and spiritually. Please don’t put the foul beast in thigh-highs. Please do not picture him dancing with my sweet boy the Babadook or the ever-serving red demon from Insidious

I don’t know where this fear came from but I suspect it was the movie Home Alone 2

To be clear: I believe that the Grinch exists and that displaying his image IS an invitation for him to enter this plane and sow destruction, and I discourage that in much the same way the Exorcist discourages us from displaying idols of Pazuzu

My neighbour, oblivious to my torment, has put a giant inflatable Grinch on their porch roof. Whenever I leave my house I feel his yellow eyes upon me.

I am a massive horror fan. I watch and enjoy movies where some depraved special effects artist has devoted hours of their life into creating an abomination unto God. And yet, when I see that green demon smirking at me from a pair of novelty underwear, I feel true fear

We’re now entering my own personal hell: the Season of the Grinch.
