In dry weather!
You can understand why people had such fun in these things
A shiny vintage black charabanc vehicle in a museum hall, with red wheels, green leather rows of seats and the letters "L&NWR" painted on the side. An open air vehicle with no roof. Brass lamps and trim. Vintage buses behind.
This charabanc was my favourite thing at the London Transport Museum depot (Acton Town, you have to book a tour). It's enormous, plush, and it still gets driven out for special events! #SundayPixFavourite
Not sure how the conversation at dinner with friends turned to: pick one, Steve Blackshaw or Ben Fogle?
Yeah. It would have to be part of grander plans to be worth it.
Ooh serious disruption. Stay strong!
You're being thorough, then. The works! I can't even find anyone who will rouse themselves to quote to insulate my floor. One day, it may happen.
Applause for you from a fellow cold floor sufferer π. I don't really understand how to insulate a floor. Does it strap on to the underneath of the floorboards?
Mistook this for a political post π€£
It starts easy on a Monday, gets harder through the week until Sunday. It's often what the clue *doesn't* say that is key. It might direct you to find a criminal near one corner, and you deduce that somewhere else has an innocent.
I love that game. I have got better at it over time, but I have struggled! If you're really stuck you can guess, and if you get it wrong there is only one alternative.
And now they won't let secondary school boys wear shorts in a heatwave. It's messed up.
I wonder why was it thought necessary for small boys to have their knees constantly exposed? Was there a theory that they would do better if they grew a thick layer of scar tissue on their knees? I've never understood.
157/157 and that's why I've spent the last three hours writing this thread on Bluesky about how I've cracked nuclear fission and the creation of gold from base metals, because only this reliable, glitch-free site is suitable for such momentous news. /end of thread.
Baby,
Where the hell is my husband,
He's sleeping in the spare room,
'Cos of my hacking cough-ough-ough π€§
Ah. That was when I had small children and couldn't afford photography.
Crikey did they? I missed that gem. Reminds me of a friend's daughter whose first job was CEO, woo-hoo! (civil enforcement officer i.e. traffic warden)
Mostly women working from home in secretarial roles. I know an awful lot of people with this job title! A lot are former mummy bloggers. No reason to distrust it, but I agree it's awful terminology.
It's the former. The job title has been around longer than AI, but I always thought "Remote PA" describes the job better.
Listening to the TV but staring at my phone. Sounds that make me look up and rewind no. 1 (I may make this a series):
Grayson Perry saying there's a sculpture of anal beads outside the headquarters of Open AI in San Francisco π³
Also vaccination, in use for the last 230 years!
I didnβt know this, did you? Amazing!
I have heard of that. I've also bookmarked Mojeek, but forgotten to use it!
Ooh look, an ethical search engine. When I find one of these, I tap the three dots at the top of the screen and choose "add to homescreen" so I've got a button I can tap to access it.
A simple wooden bench in the foreground and beyond a view of a pretty and rugged little green valley in gentle sun, with mottled clouds above. Signs of a tiny beck carving through the landscape with stony patches.
The bench at the top of the hill, Parceval Hall, Wharfedale. It's managed by Bradford Diocese. Here, you can join a Christian retreat day and discover some calm, so seems ideal for #SundayPixCalm
No
I should hope so!
That's kind of you. You are too. You're clearly tenacious, and I hope they show you the appreciation you deserve, one of these days.
I liked it. Because it's Ryan Gosling, they have made it a mix of relatably funny and action suspense. I have a fondness for anything spaceship.
