This is spot on. Mobilising people who already agree with you is great, but what about those who don’t?

Sign the Open Letter — Trade and Tenants Unions Fighting the Far Right

Sign the open letter which calls on the TUC to lead a counter-demonstration to Tommy Robinson’s nationalist rally in May. If they don’t, grassroots activists will have to do it ourselves - but we are stronger united.

Mobilising for a big demo isn’t going to save us.

We need to get organised in our communities and we need to do it quickly.

The year is 2003. I’m 17 years old. I’m watching Democrats fail to appropriately oppose an illegal war for oil.

Venezuela has the world’s largest oil reserves — and that’s no coincidence.

This is naked U.S. imperialism: an illegal assault on Caracas aimed at overthrowing a sovereign government and plundering its resources.

Starmer’s Labour government must condemn this unequivocally.

Didn’t stick to any of my 2025 New Years Resolutions, but I did steal about 50 forks from the staff canteen so it wasn’t a total bust.

Yeah you could say the same for “Green austerity - we’ll make the best of it” to be fair.

I see, missed this. But as I said YP agreed it at conference so there’s going to be one co-ordinated effort (in theory).

3 months ago 1 0 1 0

Anyway, see what you mean and fingers crossed Greens make some changes, but don’t think the idea of a no cuts budget is so out there. YP agreed it at conference.

PS could you get Steve from G.Organise to get back to me re: Epping TUC. Appreciate he may be taking a well earned break so no dramas

“That’s my point” where was that your point?

3 months ago 0 0 1 0

To make the best of it and impose a nicer austerity than the alternative? Disappointing tbh.

Local govt is a mess and needs radical change with a national strategy, IMO the Greens are missing a trick. They’ve got the momentum and a membership with the appetite for change, so why more of the same?

3 months ago 1 0 1 0

Some will call it grandstanding, some call it sticking to your principles I guess.

What’s the point in standing in local elections if you’re going to impose cuts you’re meant to be ideologically opposed to?

Tweet by George Galloway sent 2 Dec 2025 that reads:

If Your Party the Green Party and the Workers Party can park their differences and construct an electoral agreement around the large and vital similarities on the economy on war on the NHS and national unity could still stop the seemingly inexorable parade of Reform headed otherwise to Downing Street.
We should do so.

This is funnier than doing the cat thing in Big Brother.

Feel your pain I’ve caught hand, foot and mouth from the baby (she got from very first day at nursery) and I am in HELL.

I did reach out, cheers. Hope you’re right and he’s fine.

I think he was having some sort of episode actually and was talking about ending his own life before he deactivated.

Don’t know him personally but hopefully he reached out to someone he knows and they’ve been kinder than some of the posts I’ve seen about him this morning 👍
