it's been like, 6 years, but i finally got a new phone. never had a Samsung before since I normally stuck to cheaper brands like Huawei, Redmi, Xiaomi, or Poco, so it's about time I see what's so special about this one (it's a Galaxy A17 if that's any merit)
i spent 33 minutes writing the alt text btw. probably a lot of wasted effort but i always advocate for being accessible
A photo of the top of a bookshelf with a number of decorations. From the left, sticky notes, a sharpener, colored pencils, and 3 rubbers. Besides them, a remote for a cleaning robot, a little sculpture of a dog and cat besides a rock with the word "Believe" written on it, a nonbinary butterfly pin next to it, and a framed drawing of a lemur and porcupine as a birthday gift from a moment a friend and Derpy had together. Additionally, a bookmark of a furry made flat, a 3D printed pink 2DS pencil, an adapter USB for file transferring, a dice set, 3 D&D 5e manual books, a GODLY AMOUNT of pencils in a holder, as well as a rainbow flag sticking out. From there it's smaller details like some McDonald's UNO card sets, a book on tarots book with a card set, and a plastic stand of a furry fox goopig a human. Below this, a number of books are sat on a shelf to the point it's physically straining. These books include: Edward Lee City Infernal GONE by James Patterson Paranoia by Joseph Finder 9th Judgement by James Patterson The Infinite Wisdom of Harriett Rose. by Diana Janney The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin PRIMARY COLORS by ANONYMOUS TRUST ME by Jeff Abbott The Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer Duncan Falcon Mercenary Richard Osman's The Thursday Murder Club Plague by Micheal Grant The Disappearance of Emily Marr PAX by Penny Packer FNAF Into the Pit by... Scott Scawthon. Mary Wesley's A Sensible Life Can You Crack The Enigma Code? by Richard Bel field Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig A Tiny Bit Marvellous by Dawn French Fiendnders Keepers by Jean Marsh Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Bunchy The Coral Island by R. M. Ballantyne The Patient in 202 by Kathy Martin "AAAAA" and "You're An Odd Fox, Diaman Foxx." by, well, Damian S. Foxx.
For the middle shelf, we have a hot pink ukulele, a light pink neck fan, a sticker book from Matsuo, a beginners box for Magic the Gathering propping up some hand warmers with the nonbinary and aroace flags respectively, two quick start pokemon sets, a light purple zipped bag of cards, and a strapped hot pink folder with more cards.
Finally, the bottom shelf. Here we have books about queer history on the left, in the middle, a LOAD of used notebooks you will never get to see the insides of, and on the right, Paru Itagaki's Beastars series volumes 1 through 10. Additionally, her Beast Complex Series from 1 to 3.
thought to share my bookshelf since I've been deep-cleaning and organizing some things lately
featuring gifts from @matsuoakatsu.bsky.social
might end up donating the current books since I've had em for so long, but certainly not @foxxdamian.bsky.social or Beastars, those ain't leaving
did it again. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and shove this thing into a recycling center now
I might have just seen the hypervisor error more times than my own family at this rate. What a headache to deal with every ~5 minutes while working on drafts for a story
personally, i think it's a good idea to keep a general idea of what the world you plan for is just so it doesn't scare you off on what it could be. many a time i feel something falls short of what the story *wants* just because the intent had to be subsided when creativity strikes elsewhere
yeah, i find a lot of really good concepts while working with people that don't get utilized to their full potential due to the fear of how much weeding it can take to separate the world as its own piece to the cast that inhabits it.
as someone close to done, and from Paru Hitagaki herself regarding how she was "part of production in insuring the finale turns out how she wanted to", i see it like a take 2. not that... this ending is exactly... much better... but clearly shows how she'd have liked to do it if given more time
i cackled so loudly at that ending because that's the type of shit you hear in an abridged fandub. i especially love that the team even remembered the snake existed at all by including her in the faintest cameo known to man during the credits
i found a russian copy of the "Into the Pit" book (FNAF) and it called to me like the green goblin mask. it was just there. on the ground. beckoning to me and my desire of burning things. i shall perform the proper ritual, for all things return to ashes.

A Fur Affinity Note sent to Derpy is seen here. It reads as follows, "I just binged through your stories and wow, your storytelling is seriously immersive. The scenes play out so visually in my head that it honestly feels like they’re meant to be comics. That’s actually why I wanted to share this. An amazing artist once visualized my own stories and I was completely blown away by how perfectly she captured everything. I genuinely think your work would look incredible in that form too. [Linktree that features no art or recent activity in literal years] Keep writing, you've got something really special." In response, Derpy says: "Thank you [user] for your [noun] feedback on my [content that user performs]! I'll be [positive statement] to go over and check out [totally not an advertisement for your own gain] to solicit them for free comic panels seeing that I am so close to [something about perfection!] Fuck off and maybe try to update your prompts list to look slightly more believable, Derpy"
yeah someone on FA's been unleashing a new copypasta bot on the writing community and it's just funny to see. If I want my work brought to images, don't you think I'd be speaking with actual comic makers or trying for myself?
had a friend stay over so she can focus on her assignments, and as she left, she opened my tardis of medicine supplies, pulled out my nasal spray, and said "Can I keep this?"
dear reader. I am sick and rely on that nasal spray. Let alone the idea of SHARING a USED nasal spray with someone else
damn. i can't believe i've unknowingly been referencing Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever just by deciding an extra b would sound funnier. now i've gotta set the time aside to see that show
i've always defaulted to calling it "the bibble" but there's something funny about saying "Eibiy" even if not to reference this
i don't care what the justification is. a discord server was never meant to be more than a hub for people to hang around, not act like an archive for external sources. no greater annoyance than a YouTube guide saying a Discord server has the resource you need
the beautiful thing about the upcoming Discord ID verification system is we're finally witnessing what is essentially the internet equivalent to the burning of library Alexandria because losers needed to make servers instead of leaving info in easier places like openly accessible forums
it took 7 years but my trusty headphones have finally died. they survived travel to Italy, so at least they got to enjoy the sight of something that isn't this miserable pile I call Malta
maybe gay furries are onto something. a bandage on the nose *is* good for something. making the bridge of my glasses not hurt me, that is
jokes aside i recognized Fortune Feimster right away from her performance in Soul (she plays as one of the Counselor Jerry's)
on the topic of Soul, Richard Ayoade is also on there as another Counselor Jerry. And... is also Professor Marmalade in Bad Guys 1 and 2. knew him as Onion first though
finally watched zootopia 2 and it's so funny how pawbert has so much fanart when he's maybe relevant for 20 minutes in the entire film
also literally never seen that beaver before but from the moment she started speaking i just kept thinking of Seanie Dew
