I agree. This is a good assessment of the show. I’ve been watching it thinking the same things. Especially Oxford & Scotland. This notion of strange, homunculus “for the tourists upper-middle class” versions of British places would make a great theme for a series of dystopian/liminal spaces albums.

I also would also like to suggest you try reading The Reality of the Mass Media by Niklas Luhmann.

Thanks Cate, I’ll look into it. The TE one is quite the disappointment even though I adore everything else they make. The damn thing’s swivel joint near the top just can’t lock tight enough to support the weight of the CM-15 microphone - Otl Aicher would not be impressed by this design oversight!

I’d recommend actually looking after whatever you get. That way you get a good price and don’t have to replace them every six months either.
