Also, in my experience, it's harder to find freelance writers with adventure writing skills or a love for writing them. It really takes system mastery and a lot of at the table practice of running games and seeing how players usually act. Underappreciated, difficult part of development IMHO.

The White Wolf Wiki does have some content from the Vienna By Night that was published by a licensee back in the day in German, so I've been using a bit of that for early history stuff.

Explore two villages in the Dales with the Legend in the Mist team! Had so much fun working on this game... and collaborating with Artist Alejandra Pinal was an absolute pleasure. What an inspiration.

More timeline, with a lot of text hightlighted in yellow describing adventures at these moments in time.

I then plot out when the separate Chronicles take place, and start to map out the Stories within those, focusing on specific historical moments that happen concurrently, as a backdrop or impetus for the adventure.

BTW, here's how I put together long-term V:tM games, spanning from the Dark Ages setting to the modern nights. I do a timeline of historical and fictional events, with the vampire canon ones in red.

I've had some rough headaches all week so I've been working on a potential long term Vampire game to run, since that's something I can do no matter how I'm feeling.

Looking at Vienna, with enough detail to allow for PCs that aren't Tremere. It's going well and I think I have some cool plot ideas.

Reading up on clan Tremere today. Apparently Etrius, at the time of his embrace, was a 172 year old mage, in a relationship with an 18 year old mage, whom he planned to marry. He embraced her in a fit of passion. She was not happy.

No mention in the wiki of how messed up their age gap was, haha.

Yeah, I'd allow it for acute resonance, not just scared. But maybe I'd ease into that and have them get into more and more refined tastes, wanting more and more specific experiences. That's how wine connoisseurs work. Gotta work with the player on that.

Would be fun to have a Mist engine game where your Backpack/Loadout are thoughts. Actually, I'm doing something similar in Cairo right now.
